SUMMER: There is access to several lakes along Highway 4, but as homeowners, our guests also enjoy access to Lodge Lake and Fly In Lake, on the HOA Grounds, right next to the golf course. Sequoia Woods Golf Course, features a challenging 18 hole course, with 2 different play styles on the front and back nines, and Greenhorn Creek in Angels Camp is a close second for local great golf. As our guests, you will also enjoy guest-of-member pricing on Sequoia Woods golf course and access to the Country Club pool (with $6 fee paid there to them). We often visit through-hikers on the Pacific Crest Trail less than an hour away, and there are plenty of local hikes on the Arnold Rim Trail and elsewhere. We are a 20 minute drive to fishing & swimming holes on the Stanislaus, Beaver Creek, or other local hotspots (30 minutes to Alpine Lake, 30 minutes to New Melones, etc.) We can provide you with details for local fishing holes, hiking trails, swimming spots, etc. But don't forget the local wineries - many are gold-winning and we're members of many because the quality.

WINTER: We are at 4200 ft elevation, and Bear Valley Ski Area is approximately 22 miles up Hwy 4 (during winter conditions, it can be a 25-45 minute peaceful drive with often very little traffic). Bear Valley also offers great cross-country and snowmobiling options.
Often, during big winter storms, treefall will knock out local grid power for hours or even days - BUT unlike almost every other rental up here, we're insulated from power loss with automatic generator backup. During your stay, if it snows more than 4" accumulated on the driveway, snow removal will be necessary (and will automatically show up) because driving on the snow will pack it to ice and make it permanent for the winter. For this service, an additional $60 fee per plowing will be automatically deducted from the security deposit (trust us, this is well worth it and will not only help protect the driveway but also make your stay more enjoyable). We also have all tools necessary to dig pathways to the hot tub on the deck.
