Pit of Pelempito
Imagine a great pit, about 4.5 miles deep, resting between the mountains. Its bottom is 1150 feet above sea level, while the massifs which surround it reach up to 1186 meters. There is a visitors' center on its peak, at a height of 3891 feet.

The famous Oviedo Lagoon is a great choice for the observation of species such as the royal heron, blue heron, spoonbill, many seagulls, the white-crowned pigeon, flamingos and other aquatic birds.
Magnetic Pole
The Magnetic Pole is located west of the town of Cabral. This is certainly the area where the best Dominican coffee is produced. Here, nature has some surprises. You can stop on the road to observe the magnetic hill phenomenon. This is a strange phenomenon that makes vehicles which have stopped at a neutral point slide upwards on the hill.
Villa Miriam
A private house with a waterfall that is channeled to form several pools and whose cold waters serve to relax the body. Some say that they also relax the soul.
