This extraordinary villa is one of the few remaining constructions so close to the sea. Just five steps and you will feel the water on your feet!

The property has plenty of outdoor spaces to chill out, like its porticos with breathtaking views to the ocean, the exterior dining rooms or the delightful belvedere next to the sea. The 2.500sqm garden has its private pool with an exceptional panorama: from the relaxing sunbeds you will see the Atlantic Islands in the horizon. This three-storey house has 6 double bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 large living rooms with fireplace, a bright dining room and a full equipped kitchen.

Location description from owner

The Galicia region

The sea crashing on the coastal rocks. That's the sound of Galicia. The coastline of Galicia takes its shape from every day's tide, constantly creating new wild beaches as well as quiet shores. Discovering them can become a unique experience, not only admiring its beauty, but also diving into its immensity, surfing the waves, sailing the waters and getting to stunning places as the Cíes Islands, the islands which shelter the magic treasures of a unique ecosystem.

But Galicia is not just the coast… you will enjoy it in every sense: from its wide cultural legacy and precious nature, to its exceptional gastronomy.

Baiona

The town of Baiona, just 2km from our house, has a fascinating artistic legacy to show with its charming Old Town and the iconic fortress of Monterreal, with the prestigious Royal Yacht Club and marina of Baiona. Nor can we forget the proximity to Portugal and the charming towns that can be found less than 1 hour away from our house.

Visiting the Cíes Islands is a must. In high season, there is a boat line from Baiona which takes you in less than an hour to the archipelago. Another option, undoubtedly delightful, is to make this idyllic seaside-trip on a private sail or motor boat. You will also discover many secret nature gems just one step away from our house, like the unique river mills of Folón and Picón or the natural springs and pools of Mougás and El Rosal.

Gastronomy is another thing that will make your holidays unforgetable. Galician cuisine is a classic cuisine that seeks for the beauty of simple elements naturally combined. No tricks are required to offer good eaters the pleasure of a real gourmet experience. First quality raw materials carefully cooked in a loving and familiar way…

“THE bijou in baiona!”

Reviewed 6 Oct 2014

We stayed in this beautiful villa during one week. The house was full but never it felt not having enough space. The inside is very well decorated with beautiful old fournitures and the garden and the view on the ocean is just perfect! The communication with teresa was really good, she was always there to help or answer my questions. Everything is made with love and i really hope That one day i'll have the opportunity to go back to this unforgettable place!

“Breathtakingly Beautiful Place to Stay!!”

Before I get to the House and Location review, let me start by saying our Host, Teresa was incredibly professional, warm, thoughtful (think local food basket gift, small fluffy toy for the toddler in our group and chocolates for the little kids on our departure) and extremely helpful! All above and beyond our expectations. Teresa was never more that a 5 minute email or call response away, helping us arrange a local chef to cook for us and a maid to help clean mid week. The house location is spectacular! Views that you would never get tired off, a stunning garden and lovely pool pool are more inviting than the photo's suggest. You are approx 5 minutes from the castle in Baiona and within minutes of great local restaurants. The house itself is lovely, comfortably appointed with very luxurious bedding and very comfortable beds (we all slept soundly every night with the windows and shutters slightly open enjoying the sounds of ocean on our doorstep.) I know that my family and I will definitely be back and its the only house I would even consider renting in the region for a large group.

“Superbly located right on the sea”

The large traditional Villa 3 km from the heart of Biona. There were only two of us so we appreciated the discount off the published price. The Young owner was extremely hospitable and helpful. The house was tastefully decorated with original furniture and objets d'art. It was overlooked by the road so skinny dipping in the pool

“Maravillosas vacaciones”

Reviewed 25 Nov 2013

“Amazing house with great friendly service in an incredible location!”

Reviewed 22 Nov 2013

I stayed at this house with some friends for the last week of September while we attended Baiona's boat race, and we were really lucky to choose it! We were searching for a nice house in which all of us (10 persons) could stay that was close enough to the port, but we found much more: The house itself is amazing, it is a huge classic construction recently adapted with everything you could possibly need, it has an enormous garden with a big swimming pool with a view to the sea (I always wanted to have this!) There is also plenty of sitting space outdoors in order to enjoy a nice meal. On the inside, rooms were much more spacious than we thought, it was really comfortable, and bathrooms were very nice (for me this is quite important), and we got cool amenities! Common areas were great, as we had plenty of space in the living rooms, and, although we didn't need the fireplaces, I'm sure it would be great to enjoy them in the cold months. The kitchen was also very nice, and we could find plenty of drinks, this was quite convenient. Also, we had filled a shopping list with our reservation, so at our arrival we had all the food we needed. Although we were quite busy with the Regatta, we enjoyed a nice bike trip (you can grab two bikes that are already at the house, and they provide as many extra as you need). On top of all this, service was awesome; they attend to all your needs and provide everything you may want, we also asked for recommendations on what to do and where to go. Overall, the house exceeded our expectations by far, we are used to stay at nice places for trips, but they are not even close to this one, it had all the perks of a top-notch hotel with the sensation of being at home. I will definitely plan another trip to enjoy all the other things we didn't have time to do!
