Wake up to the sound of kookaburras and the magical sight of the mist covered Paterson River as the morning sun glitters in the dewdrops that blanket the lush green fields of Mt Rivers. This is not the stuff of dreams but the everyday reality that awaits you.

With 3.5 kilometres of exclusive frontage to one of New South Wales’s most beautiful waterways this idyllic and quintessentially Australian paradise offers over 200 acres of private sprawling countryside that is yours alone to explore.

Perfect for all the family there is kayaking, bush walking, bathing in the abundant swimming holes and dams and, for golfers, a 400m driving range. Perhaps you’d like to take a picnic atop one of the many hills overlooking the adjacent farms and river flats or roast marshmallows over a pre-prepared campfire as you gaze up at the cosmos like you’ve never seen it before.

For the little ones there is a tree house, chook shed where they can collect freshly laid eggs every morning, goats and ponies to pat. For the romantics the homestead boasts two open fireplaces, an outdoor bathtub, infinity edge swimming pool and breathtaking views of the river and its surrounds.

At twilight the kangaroos and echidna surface for a forage and frolic in plain sight of the house and fish jump as dragonflies dance on the river in a symphony of movement and colour. If you fancy yourself a piscator, a catch of the day is almost guaranteed with every cast at this hour.

For bird watchers: rosellas, lorikeets, galahs and black cockatoos fill the air with song whilst black swans, pelicans, ducks and kingfishers grace the river stills and hawks, kites and majestic wedge-tailed eagles soar watchfully above.

Oranges, lemons, grapefruit and mandarins are ripe for the picking in the grove during the winter months, with wild pomegranate and peaches awaiting discovery elsewhere on the property by the discerning gatherer. Farm eggs, milk and wine from a local vineyard will form part of your welcome hamper with lamb from the local butcher and damper prepared onsite available as an extra treat for you and your guests should you so desire (by special request).

At Mt Rivers an experience like no other beckons and, with six bedrooms four bathrooms and accommodation for up to seventeen guests (15 adults and 2 children), promises to deliver you and your loved ones the adventure of a lifetime.

All guests will be personally greeted on arrival by the estate managers and shown this beautiful property.

Midweek - minimum 2 nights for up to 8 guests (adults or children) $1350 per night (Mon-Thu)

Extra adults are charged at $125 per person per night

Children aged 2-12 are charged at $100 per child per night
