Perfect place to relax and enjoy fantastic weather
This was our 2nd stay at this apartment. The penthouse apartment is within a complex set on the outskirts of Playa Serena. It has everything you would wish from an apartment, with fantasic views over the golf course towards the nature reserve and the mountains in the distance. The balcony around the apartment is a sun trap all day and offers complete privacy. The complex is busy during the summer with mostly spanish families but is set on the edge of a residential area and is therefore very quiet at night. There is a pool and play area on site which is well maintained, as is the entire complex which is spotless. It is a couple of minutes walk away from really nice beaches and also the various nightlife is nearby, with a choice of the many other european foods on offer. The property managers, Jim & Judy McMillan are on hand in resort and are fonts of knowledge about the local area. The airport collection service offered is good if you do not wish to hire a car. This is a first class property, well maintained and a pleasure to visit again. …
Pueblo Andaluz 2 Bedroom - WIFI, A/C, BBQ, PS4 ~ South Facing - 4 mins to Beach
5 stars all round - a surprisingly charming place that we will visit again :) :) :)
My only regret is that we only stayed 5 nights!!
The lovely south facing 'sun trap' terrace had brand new retractable sun awnings and a couple of sunbeds making it a true pleasure to chill out on and watch the world go by. Adjoining the terrace was a handy conservatory type room with patio doors that open right up making a really useful additional space on the terrace for keeping food and drink etc in the shade.
Both bedrooms were adequately spacious with comfy beds and plenty of wardrobe space. The kitchen was well equipped with a big fridge and abundant room in the freezer for making ice. The large living room had a decent flat screen TV with an X Box and massive selection of games and DVD’s – not that we actually had time for this, but useful for kids or bad weather days.
The local area was very friendly with good selection of restaurants and bars, all serving traditional Tapas at extremely good prices. Would recommend visiting the nearby Estampa bar for a friendly welcome and a large selection of beers and cider served with tasty Tapas, or Newtons Lounge for an upmarket cocktail before a night out in Almeria (you must visit Almeria’s fabulous food market during day or hit the bars at night, it’s a beautiful city).
Even found a car boot sale further down the coast and got a selection of bargains, including a mini power kite for €5 that we then enjoyed flying on the beach the following day!! …
