“Trip of a lifetime!” Incredible, amazing, awesome, exciting, the best! What can we say? It was the best trip of our lives - so far! We can't wait to go back. First, Blondie is so helpful. Actually, Mike, Roberto and anna were equally accommodating. Second, the house was incredibly beautiful. The beds were comfortable and big, the sheets and pillows high quality. The showers were unique - who thought bathing could be such a special experience. The grounds were lush and well kept. The kitchen was well stocked. We cooked a lot and had everything we needed. The views were breathtaking, especially from the top bedroom. We were speechless a few times at sunset. Very romantic! Peurta Jimenez was a great little town with some very good restaurants and a good grocery store. There wasn't much we couldn't find. If you are up for adventure then there is much to do. We zip lined, kayaked, repelled down waterfalls, went boating in the Gulfo Dulche, went to a monkey refuge, went horseback riding on the beach, toured a cocoa plantation, hiked, swam in the ocean, and jammed with local musicians. But if you want solitude and long naps, you can have that too. We were not ready to come home. Costa Rica is more beautiful than we imagined. A week is simply not enough. Two weeks isn't enough. We can't say enough about Mike and Blondie. They are truly incredible hosts and they keep a wonderful home. We've stayed in a lot of vacation homes and this is so far the best.
“Perfect stay in paradise” We enjoyed a wonderful stay in a beautiful part of the country. The home was comfortable and Tracey and Geovanny were wonderful hosts who helped us book incredible tours. We highly recommend Casa Bella as a place to reconnect with nature and each other! Just go!
“The Experience of a Lifetime” Despite all the photographs, we were not prepared for the beauty and awe-inspiring experience of living in the jungle canopy at Lapa's Treehouse. My wife Julie loved every minute, especially since she didn't have to cook one meal. We took advantage of the meal plan and the caretakers brought us beautifully cooked and delicious healthy meals every morning and night. It was a quick walk down the hill to the river, which was pristine and perfect for swimming. And there are beaches close to town and farther down the peninsula. We took a boat tour to the island where the naturalist lady has wildlife under her care and we saw whale sharks and hundreds of dolphins on our way over. We had a blast. My only caveat is that the roads up to Lapa's are steep, and rocky. I am an intrepid driver, but I would not attempt that at night. Fortunately, we had our dinner and a widescreen TV and DVD player was provided in the treehouse for late night entertainment. I recommend bringing your own Dvds though. The accommodations were exceptional, as was the hospitality. You really should go.
