“Beautiful and relaxing” Casa Gavilan is a beautiful home with an over the top comfort rating. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We loved watching the birds enjoy the fruit we put in the front yard. The hosts were very friendly and great about answering questions we had. The neighbors were freindly and willing to share their knowledge of the area as well. We felt safe and well cared for. The only down side is that it is over 45 minutes away from LaFortuna were a lot of the tours took place. You would need a rental car to stay here. In all we were very satisfied.
“This place has it all!!” Patrick and alicia were wonderful hosts for the relaxing and breathtaking setting we so much enjoyed. We've spent years in Costa Rica however, the food Patrick prepared for dinner and the breakfast "feasts" prepared by alicia were better than any food we have ever eaten in all of Costa Rica! This visit certainly exceeded our expectations! Bob & Keia Lundberg Franklin, NC
“A little slice of heaven” My wife and I and two other couples stayed in the large home for 4 nights in January. The home was very luxurious and we had a wonderful time chatting with Tom and his wife and Daryl who lives just down the road. Daryl was kind enough to take the six of us out for a few hours on the lake where we did a little fishing, swimming, and just enjoying the peace and tranquility of the area. We already decided we will retire in this area and this just confirms it. You cannot go wrong staying here. We ended our stay with a barbecue and feast with our new found friends, cooked up some fresh home made dumplings and seafood. The two other couple came all the way from China to travel with us. We all loved our stay and will certainly visit again.
