“This house rental is so very peaceful and beautiful!” We stayed for almost a week, and even though we were delayed in our arrival the Kuai family was very understanding. They are wonderful hosts. The location is fabulous, close to downtown but in a lovely neighborhood, very peaceful. One can walk to stores, even to downtown. The house is part of a larger home but we had privacy, our own entrance; it has many amenities and the all weather porch in the back is beautiful and comfortable. The beds are OK, my husband likes a harder bed and I brought a mattress topper along. There were some issues with the a/c controls but hopefully this will be worked out, we had unusually warm weather for asheville at this time of year. Ceiling fans and screened windows throughout the house are a big plus!

“Clean, Nostalgic, Quaint, Gorgeous Property, Homey” I brought my 2 kids here mid February. I have a son 11 and daughter 14. When we walked in late at night all lights were on and heaters warming cabin. Was so inviting and the cleanest rental home I have ever stayed in. Was small but perfect for our needs. There was a lot of snow and ice the 5 days we were there. Would have loved to hike up the hill behind the cabin but too icey and cold. The little brook behind the cabin captivated my son with it partially frozen. Great place for our German Shepherd to run. She ran all over without a care in the world and no worries of traffic because we were at the top of the mountain and never saw cars. Bringing my kids back in August 2015 but dates are taken. Very sad we cannot return here. Everything was close. We went to Biltmore, Linville Caverns, skiing, gem mining all within 30 min or less.Great quiet location lots ofland and no neighbors.

“Fantastic Stay!” The cabin is truly beautiful. It's amazing that Linda, the owner, actually built the eco-cabin herself! She is a fascinating and welcoming host. The organic garden is wonderful and Linda sent us home with argula, tomatoes, and carrots for a tasty salad when we arrived back home! We roasted marshmellows on the fire pit under the star-filled sky and enjoyed the sound of the babbling creek. It was an fantastic stay.

“Outstanding Mountain Hideaway” The Streamside Home is wonderful home in an absolutely spectacular location. Hidden beside a rolling stream between the DuPont and Pisgah state forests, the house is absolutely perfect for a family getaway. With three great bedrooms, two modern bathrooms (with heated tile floors), and a great kitchen, the house also featured a completely modern outdoor grill, outdoor fireplace, and awesome stream-side fire pit, where we cooked a few meals. The house has everything you could possibly want, and is an incredible location. More importantly, owner Jim Sloan and his wife Kathy were incredible hosts. Jim spent extra time on the phone with us before we arrived, helping us plan hiking trips, flyfishing trips, and mountain-climbing adventures. He knew the best experts in town to help us make the trip perfect, and his recommendations were dead-on ... all of them. His recommendations for gourmet organic food (i.e., Poppie's Market) were perfect, and he ensured that our visit was a memorable one. I cannot recommend the Streamside Home enough. If you're looking for a quiet hidden home in the woods, stay here. There are myriad outdoor activities, outstanding accommodations, and Jim and Kathy will take care of you.

“Amazingly hospitable!” We so enjoyed our stay at Green Gables! Not only was it a beautiful home with a great location, but the service was impeccable! The owner knew it was a special occasion for our family, and we arrived to see a bottle of wine, a fruit basket, and a cake! It was a truly fabulous weekend in what felt like our home away from home.
