World Class Birthday Celebration in Spectacular Mansion

I must say I've taken many vacations but my stay in Elena House Malindi is by far the best I've ever experienced! Initially, I had picked different vacation villa to rent but when the group grew to 13 people, I had to look for other options. Elena House was reasonably priced, available on the dates that we requested and was willing to accommodate 13 people = perfect match! Upon arrival, we were blown away - it's such a beautiful compound - we never wanted to leave the pool! Heads up: the deep pool is saltwater and is not chilled...not a pleasant surprise in anybody's nose or mouth! The small plunge pool is chilled and chlorinated. The house helpers were absolutely amazing! That chef makes pure magic in that kitchen! Alex was so pleasant and so patient. I'm sure catering to 13 different personalities from morning to evening for 4 days was no small task! There was plenty of lounging space, quiet reading space, games space, dining space. The bed and bath rooms were well kept. We only experienced a short power outage on the last day but we were headed out to dinner anyway and it was restored by the time we returned. We accidentally pushed the security/alarm button (which we thought was a light switch) and the local authorities showed up almost instantly - quite reassuring! We ventured out on a short 7min walk to the Marine Park and spent the day sailing on the Indian Ocean which included a delicious lobster lunch - AMAZING! Other than that, we never wanted to leave the house. My friend is known for having spectacular birthday celebrations but this stay in Malindi definitely exceeded our expectations! beautiful house, beautiful beach, wonderful staff

Ritchie house is beautiful, coral and sand beaches out front were beautiful, staff were great, cooking was excellent. We liked how easily the staff arranged fish, prawns, calamari, crab to be brought to the house for purchase from a local fishmonger. We liked what an excellent cook we had! Owner Vivienne was very responsive during booking. The house and grounds were very clean and well-tended. Beds were good not great, but rooms were very clean and A/C was available in 3 of the bedrooms (fans in the others) and worked very well, except when power was out for an extended period along much of South coast, so we suffered a bit in the March heat. But overall we had an excellent time and recommend it highly. … see more

From the first email I sent Chris everything has been very fast and convenient. Chris gave us the best rate in the market and his responses were very fast. The villa was easy to locate and when we got there the staff was so welcoming and friendly.
