“FANTASTIC HOLIDAY” We have just returned from casa con la torre after spending two weeks there.
Words could not express how beautiful and relaxing this place is.
My family and I have rented villas in France and Spain and casa con la torre tops the lot. We were into our second week and re-booked it for next year.
The villa has everything you require with an abundance of seeting areas to suit your requirements.
Lubrin village is challenging if you don't speak Spanish but you will always find someone that is willing to help you but I would advise some basic Spanish lessons.
Jim cotter the owner is one of the nicest people we have ever dealt with when renting accommodation and nothing was a problem.
We would highly recommend this holiday home.
We visited this lovely Villa for the first time returning 28th September 2018. We needed a relaxing break both having stressful jobs and that’s exactly what we got. James the owner got back to us within the day when we had questions before departure and his right hand man in Spain Gary picked us up from the airport for much cheaper than a taxi. Gary was so helpful coming back to the airport for us when we were delayed 4 hours (and even lending me some tea bags. Lifesaver)! We also hired a car from him for a few days. Again much cheaper than anywhere else. The villa is warm and homely inside with attention to detail in the furnishings and decor. The view is stunning and one we would never get tired of. The outside space is spacious and furnished for dining and chilling. We were able to totally unwind and have some much needed qt. We would definitely visit again should we be that way but our trips to Spain take us to different parts each year to plan for our retirement! The town is very small and quaint and worth taking a good walk around. It’s so pretty. The local shops do the basics but you will need to visit a larger supermarket at some point. The locals speak very little English so get your google translate ready. They love it when you make the effort and are very helpful and kind. Everything we wanted we got from this lovely spacious villa and beautiful town. Highly recommended. …

The accomodation has been well thought out and the hosts have been particularly considerate in their provision of equipment from maps and walking guides to books and dvds for quiet evenings.
Lubrin is an ideal location for anyone seeking a quiet, relaxing break. It is ideal for walkiing, running or cycling activities or as a base for visiting historic sites and places of interest. The village is within easy walking distance and caters for the purchase of basic commodities. It also offers a choice of bars and restaurants where you will be greeted with a friendly reception and find reasonably priced food and drink. …

My Spanish Retreat
As I am a Zimbabwean, I have seen many spectacular sites. From the Victoria Falls to the mountains in the Vumba in Zimbabwe. I travel a lot in my job and I did not believe that I would ever find anything to rival the scenery of my homeland. But that was before I visted Lubrin in Spain. Nothing could have prepared me for Fuente Arriba!
In the famous words of David Livingstone, there were "scenes so lovely must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight." The surrounding hills are perfect for long walks in the country. There is next to no traffic and so the calm and tranquil surroundings add to the attraction. Add to this the friendliness of the local people and the ridiculously low prices for superb food and service, and what you have is the best holiday I have ever had.
The owners of the villas went out of their way to make our stay outstanding. We had everything we could ever want and when we went into town, the local people treated us like family due to the close relationship the have with the owners.
Without wanting to waffle on, go and see it for yourself. There is no noise pollution that you would find in a modern city and the authentic spanish villas will blow your mind. We took our 8yr old and 6yr old and for the first time in ages, the Nintendo's were not asked for as there was so many things to entertain them. From Boule to Croquet, we had the best family holiday ever.
The other thing is that there are a number of attractions in close proximity. From water parks to cowboy theme parks, you are seriously spoilt for choice.
To finish off my review, I will use the words of my 6 year old. When asked what he enjoyed the most about the holiday he answered "That the air smelt different and that it was the quietest place in the world." So fresh air and tranquillity... at the most affordable city on this earth in my experience. Need I say more? Book and experience total joy! …
