“Impressive” Stayed at Novatel Nusa Dua private residences for ten days with husband and two grandkids. The unit was perfect for our needs as the boys could still use the hotel facilities for swimming etc with the other families who also stayed at the Novatel. Only a 40 min drive into Kuta and an hour from Ubud so all in all a great location. The unit was spacious and above all very clean and well maintained... great job Andrea Would definitely recommend to anyone who has a family and finds it hard to rent rooms altogether. The plunge pool was great for my husband and myself but one word of advice is to always keep the mozzie coils burning day and night.

“Beautiful ocean front Villa, amazing view!” We stayed for 12 nights, the Villa is in rural east Bali. It is very peaceful and relaxed. Susana the owner is a fantastic host, she arranged a car pick up at the airport (IDR 550,000) and met us upon arrival at the apartment. Susana had a welcome drink ready and showed us around. Susana was great, she gave us a brief tour, ordered us some food and gave us the space we needed as feeling tired and jet lagged after a long journey. This villa is open living at its best, the 2 bedrooms both have en suite bathrooms and open up onto a large terrace overlooking the ocean. Both rooms have TVs, one with full cable TV (lots of English speaking channels including HBO, movie channels, Fox, CNN, BBC news etc) and the other with a DVD player. The bathrooms both had good hot water showers rather than baths, they had shower gel, hand wash, fresh towels, coconut oil and body lotion. There is a large lounge with a open plan kitchen, the lounge opens up on to a large terrace. The staff are great, as others have mentioned they are present to help but give you the space needed to enjoy your holiday. Every morning they made breakfast including fruit juice, fresh fruit with oats and yogurt. They also made a cooked breakfast ( eggs, sausages etc) with toast. Great coffee too! I am vegetarian and they adjusted to meet my needs. Can't beat breakfast overlooking the ocean! The pool and villa are cleaned daily, at night one of Susana's team puts on all the lights. They also did our laundry, we gave them a bag and got it back washed and folded the next day! They did a few times during our stay. You feel really safe and well looked after. We have nothing but praise for Susana and her team. Susana also booked trips for us, all at a great price using a local driver. The driver Robbie was really good, we visited Ubud, various temples, the Water Palace, a chocolate factory etc. Susana also helped choose some amazing restaurants when traveling around, she even made reservations for us. Susana gave me some diving recommendations too, Amed is a fantastic location for snorkelling and scuba diving. A Japanese wreck is only a short 5/10 minutes walk away! Really good for snorkelling and you can rent equipment at the beach. I did some diving at the Liberty wreck, the dive company picks you up and drops you back at the villa. You can walk down to a small beach about 5 minutes from the villa. Within walking distance are a number of restaurants (Sails, Stairway to Heaven etc) and small local type supermarkets, you can also order food to be delivered to the villa from Susana's excellent restaurant called The Grill. The food was really good!!! We also wanted to go for lunch one day at the The Grill about 10 minutes away in the next village and Susana picked us up and dropped us back at the villa. The villa has a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the ocean, also a small gazebo with cushions to relax in the shade. There are pool/ beach towels to use too! As others have mentioned the villa is not suitable for small children due to the ledges. This is a place for total relaxation, a place to slow down the pace of life and just chill out. If lucky you can see dolphins and whales, the villa has telescopes. At night the sky is full of stars. This part of Bali is spectacular, Amed is less commercialised than South Bali and that is its charm! The local balinese were kind and friendly. A great base for exploring the island of Bali or catching a boat to the nearby Gili Islands. Amed is about 3 hours from the airport. We definitely plan to come back, it is a beautiful villa with great staff and Susana is a skilled and brilliant host, she and her team made our stay perfect. The pictures cannot do justice to the view from the terrace, lounge and bedrooms. A full ocean view, it is just spectacular! To wake up in the morning, sun shining to that view helps start the day in the right way! Without any hesitation I recommend this Villa.
