“Fantastic relaxing stay in a beautiful house” We are a family with 3 children and just spent 3 weeks at Villa Bella. Our stay has been wonderful under many aspects. Jane was very quick, helpful and gave us accurate information from the first contact we made to the end of our stay. Villa Bella is absolutely charming, beautifully decorated and functional at the same time. The house, the garden and the pool are very well taken care of by a lovely team who took wonderful care of us. Nyoman and Ketut, husband and wife, have been the managers of Villa Bella for 20 years and are both very nice, trustful, and excellent persons. Ketut cooked wonderful meals for us, played with our children and made sure we had all we needed during our stay. We rent a car, and Nyoman drove us everywhere we needed. We had a fantastic, very relaxing time at Villa Bella, with the feeling of a home away from home. Thank you Jane and all your staff, and we hope to come back soon!

“Lovely serene escape from Ubud hussle!” I stayed here with my partner and a friend for 10 night over Christmas and all had a lovely time away. The house is amazing with all mod cons you could need. It's clean modern and reassuringly western. Usually water is a problem in asia but it was great to have fresh filtered water on tap, on the call. Mas is a little bit out from Ubud but don't let this deter you as Mas is a lovely area full of rice paddies and twisty lane ways so there's plenty to keep the curious trekker happy. If your after a little night life D-Star bar is a must! Only 100m down from the house, they have an amazing open garden setting full of tin sculpture, created by the owner himself. Everything is for sale. The cocktails and service are great. In fact you'd be hard pressed to find anything better in Ubud. Truth! As this is a home stay (a house not a hotel) you will need to organize some food supplies if you plan on cooking but that's no problem. Coco Marts are everywhere but for a true local experience you have to go to veggie market and is full of interesting exotic produce, runs daily and is only about 1km up the road. If you do plan on exploring further then scooters are definitely recommended. You can walk to Ubud through all the backstreets and there's some lovely scenery to be seen but in the Bali heat, it does get weary sometimes. Take lots of water! If scooters aren't your thing, there are taxis from here to infinity that are all eager for your business. Anywhere from 50-100k Rupee from Mas to Ubud in taxi is all you should pay. The hosts, Annie & Rod (originally from Melbourne) , are half the reason why we enjoyed our stay in Bali so much. Both are fluent in Balinese and have assimilated fantastically into Balinese culture. They where central in giving us all the required local knowledge we needed to know from where to, and where not to go. Saving time patience and some money on the way. It was really nice to have a busy day in Ubud and come back to the house all sweaty and jump in the pool for a cool swim and having a nice chat with Annie & Rod about our days activities. If your wanting to get off the well trodden tourist track and see something a little different in Bali whilst enjoying an amazing house with amazing hosts, and come back richer than before then Angel Villa is a must. “WOW, what a beautiful place to stay!” We (2 couples in our 40's) stayed here for 4 nights at the end of Feb 2015. From the minute we were picked up from the airport and driven to our villa until we left, we had the best experience. Iluh (who met us when we arrived) was gorgeous. Helpful, friendly, full of information and we were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble. Wyan, who made us beautiful breakfast on 3 of the mornings and made sure we had everything we needed for the Sunday morning breakfast, was wonderful. The gardens were amazing. Not a leaf on the ground and everything left perfect. The villa is everything that the pictures show. The toilet pressure is low but nothing that the handheld hose can't sort out and the showers are hot and water is a plenty. It is a tropical area so don't forget the bug spray but the villa also has some there for you to use. We too did lose power in a storm one night but the villa had plenty of candles for us to use and you're on holidays so it's not that big a deal. All the villa's were in the same boat so we just sat back and waited for it to pass. There is a big fridge were you can put drinks or anything else you need so we were fine. The villa is situated a little out of Seminyak, it is walkable but only costs about $4 for a taxi so, again, not a big deal. The quiet you get from staying a bit away is worth far more than $4! The contact we received from Manuela was great and I couldn't recommend this villa highly enough. Can't wait to stay here again one day. Thanks again to everyone for making it a great holiday.

“Lovely stay, off the beaten path, luxury in the 'real' Bali” Lovely lovely house with wonderful owner and staff. Really enjoyed our stay. Great breakfast. Good location. Felt very authentic. Pool and garden are lovely. Katut made us lunch at the villa at it was some of the best food we had in Bali. Well equipped kitchen, TV and Dvds provided. Highly recommend it. A few comments: - We arrived at night and did not know we needed to walk 5 minutes down a very narrow, very dark path to get to the house. Was a bit disconcerting. Once we saw it during the day it was less of an issue but getting there the first time was rather strange. - Outdoor showers are beautiful but one room the toilet paper got soaked every time we would shower. Ended up not using that shower at all and sticking to the one that didn't soak the toilet and toilet paper. - I found the mattress uncomfortable. My husband and kids slept great but I am a bit more sensitive and it was a bit too creaky and soft for me. But after a long exciting day in the Ubud area, I managed to sleep anyhow. - No shampoo was provided so bring your own. - And of no fault of the owner...it is loud at night, the animal life is amazing and the sounds of the frogs, roosters, crickets and whatever else was out there was incredibly loud. But those complaints are just meant for the owner, who is new to this whole vacation rental business...we would have stayed longer and would go back if we are ever in Ubud. Still some room for improvement.

“A beautiful and relaxing villa with private pool.” This villa has three bedrooms, a beautiful open style living space and private pool. It has an ocean view and a full time helper who cooks delicious food and can purchase and plan all the meals for you (simply give her the menu and money the day before). . The design of the house is very open with lots of doors and windows open to the outside with a lovely patio for eating meals. The furnishings were good, though the inside seats were a little small for my husbands American body. The patio chairs were fine for him. One downside is that half the view is obstructed by a large villa that is a stones throw from villa Mente. That villa was not occupied during our stay, but if it was occupied, it could be awkward to be so close to the other travelers. However, for the price, nothing could beat Villa Mente! And I loved the privacy of staying in the hills, rather than by the beach. Some tips: the cost for transportation to/from Lovina is 100,000 Rp ($10 USD) or you can pay by hour. This is very expensive for Indonesian standards, but relatively affordable. Renting your own car would give you more flexibility. Also, Spice Beach club was our favorite outing because the kids could swim while the adults relaxed and they provide free transport. I do not recommend Villa BatuBatu, which is advertised a lot at the villa for a spa and restaurant. It was a dismal affair with barely passable food and outdated seating. Not worth the time or money.

“A Balinese village getaway, spotlessly clean and well appointed, and a short walk to shops and restaurants.” We stayed at Kupa Kupa Villa for one week in March 2014 and really enjoyed it. It was our first trip to Bali, and we opted for the airport pick up. It was punctual, friendly and good value, and far easier than trying to find our own way. As indicated on the Tripadvisor listing, the paths accessing the villa may not be suitable for the physically challenged, but our 60-something legs didn’t find them a problem. Actually the walks to and from the villa provided an interesting experience of Balinese village life. We stayed in the upper level villa. It was well appointed and spotlessly cleaned daily by the caretakers who also made a good breakfast. All the furniture including the double bed was in top condition. The terrace was a great place to relax and it offered nice rural views. The villa’s pool is small but deep and more than adequate for relief from the heat after a trip out to the many surrounding sights, or a walk up from Candidasa. The warungs, restaurants and shops along the main road and beachfront in Candidasa offer plenty of choice and a range of standards and costs. If we didn’t feel like walking too far, the German/Indonesian café at the bottom of the access stairs provided good meals and snacks. Overall, a great place to stay and relax away from the frenetic life of places like Kuta and Ubud. Good value too. Recommended.

“Wonderful Stay” The Garden Apartment was perfect for me - solo traveller. It was comfortable and quiet, close to my favourite yoga studio and town. Lovely to return to each day, a sanctuary for reading and writing. Mary was always very helpful and Wayan and Made amazing at cleaning the apartment every day, taking my washing to the laundry and helping whenever I asked. A great driver close by available for any tours or transport required. Thankyou my wonderful Ubud friends. I hope to return to the Garden Apartment again.

“Fantastic spot for group trip"” We stayed at week at the Villa in a group of 6. We were amazed when we arrived at the Villa! The photo's do not do the place justice! The staff were absolutely lovely & so helpful. If you are looking to experience "real" Bali then Lovina is a great place to visit as it is not overrun with tourists. We will be back for sure!

“Wonderful Stay Highly Recommend” We have a fabulous stay at Kuta Villa Jaya! The Villa is so big and accommodating. Plenty of room, great for families. The out door area was fantastic, with lots of space to enjoy the pool. The Villa was cleaned everyday and ani was so lovely and kind. We highly recommend staying at Kuta Villa Jaya. Everyone is so helpful, lovely and kind. We stayed at two of Judys Villa's and they were both fantastic! We were super happy and have a wonderful stay! And if you are after a taxi Wayan is your man!

“Monkeyrock a place like paradise” We stayed there with a group of 10 people with small and older children. We called it monkeyrock because the kids (our little monkeys) loved to run around in the garden overlooking the sea, jumping in the infinity pool and relax in the lounging area,watching movies or reading books. There where actually monkeys on the hill next to the villa, very amusing. The surroundings are beautiful and the staff very helpfull and friendly. And my tumbs up for the owner who was very proactive, friendly and open in her communication, lovely person to do business with.

“Absolutely recommend” A newly renovated villa located in a quiet gang (lane) that is very centrally located for beach and restaurants in Legian. The layout and work done on the villa are a credit to the designer and I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. It has different rooms and areas to relax or entertain. The crystal clear pool is built into the surrounding gardens and looks amazing when lit up at night. There is ample parking outside, something hard to find in this area. Also the staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. You couldn't ask for anything more in your stay here.

“Pleasant Stay in Ubud” We, a group of 6 friends, stayed here for 4 nights. It is conveniently located in Ubud - only a 10 min walk to town. The pool was really nice. We spent an afternoon just hanging out by the pool, getting a tan. The staff was friendly and attentive. Highlights: on the first day of our stay, we came home to find that in addition to the standard house cleaning that you'd find anywhere else, the staff neatly laid out our toiletries and makeups on the bathroom counters. They did a better job than we would have done it ourselves. We were pretty impressed! Lowlights: We had cold showers for a few days. The gas tank seems to run out pretty fast.

“Excellent luxury villa with very friendly staff in good location” Villa Pandu is a three year old luxury villa in superb condition. Located right on the beach of Brongbon, we enjoyed the spectacular view onto the ocean at breakfast, while swimming in and relaxing at the pool and for dinner as well. Everything is very clean, well maintained and made us feel comfortable right from the start. The staff was plentiful and always extremely friendly. Budi, the manager, was exceptionally attentative and helped us organize anything we needed. His English is very good, which was very helpful. What we valued and appreciated very much, was to have a car and driver available 24/7. This added all the independence we needed to our stay. Tomik and Ita the housekeepers prepared delicious food for us upon request, which was very welcomed after day trips. From the Villa in Brongbon Pemuteran and Menjagan Island can be reached in 40 - 60 min., for snorkeling and diving. Lovina is approx. 30 min. away and Bedugul can be reached within one hour by car. We enjoyed our stay at Villa Pandu very much and can only recommend this superb villa with its wonderful staff to any traveller who is looking for a luxurious retreat in the North of Bali. A big thank you to Paul, Budi, Tomik, Ita, Ketut and Agus for a great time.

“Top class” We are often travelling and mostly rent villas in various countries. Agung's house, service and stunning hospitality can't be beaten. We were absolutely in heaven, feeling pampered day and night. The house is large enough for 4 people and more, the pool is just what you need after walking the streets of Ubud. We especially enjoyed the lovely outdoor sitting area and the open kitchen attached to it...a real gem indeed! Agung and his family are doing the very best to accommodate every wish and nothing is too much for them. “nice villa” Everything was perfect, from the airport pickup till the time we had to leave. The driver brought us to the Bali deli to pick up some essentials like diapers, fruits(fresh and good),etc right after we arrived. That why we can travel light. The villa was beautiful, very nice landscaping, everything was so spotless clean, the sofa in the living room felt brand new, the day bed was so comfortable that I actually got a few hours of blissful sleep on it. Kadek was absolutely wonderful. She helped us arrange for massage, food, taxi,information on place of interest,etc. You name it, she can arrange for it. She can even pacify my 2 year old kid, that itself is an extraordinary feat. The villa is well equipped, from home theatre system to mineral water dispenser .The pool was great and comes with 2 float beds. See even that is provided. The villa has everything. I want to thank both kadek and ratna for making sure we had a wonderful stay.

“Stunning Villa North Bali” Caroline's description of the villa and the service were exactly as we experienced and her responsiveness and patience in handling our arrangements were excellent. The villa itself is very impressive from the minute you walk in - we arrived at after dark and the outside lighting made a wonderful first impression. The design is very Balinese coupled with truly contemporary clean and stylish lines. The villa is second to the end of a row of very exclusive villas on the beach at Banjar; to the left and over a river is a huge villa with Heli-pad, tennis courts, etc - which is relatively distant from Villa Bossi. To the right the villa is closer and I can imagine that if you got unlucky with the guests in that property, that one of the bedrooms might be considered too close. We were lucky and had a large but generally quiet group staying whilst we were at Villa Bossi and other than one day when the kids were quite boisterous were not disturbed. That the villa is out of the way is great if you want a relaxing holiday; we were only approached twice by people trying to sell things; both went away without challenge and did not enter the property. The infinity pool and gardens were keep immaculately clean, which was just as well as the beach is really not anything special and quite littered with the usual plastic. The layout of the villa layout is perfect for two families or as was the case with us, separation from teenagers! I am a fanatic for clean white fluffy towels and crisp bed linen and I was not disappointed. Every morning the staff set the poolside exactly as the pictures show on the Villa website, before freshly squeezing oranges to accompany the perfectly cooked omelette and the croissants they bought for us from Lovina Bakery on their way to work. The drive to and from the airport is long, but in daylight outside of peak hour is fine and thanks to Made's good driving we were able to relax and enjoy the scenery. We would be pleased to recommend Villa Bossi.

“Little paradise” In april 2011 we had an excellent stay at Royal Residence Rangdu in the villa Jepun. The personal service was great , the villa very nice and the food very tasty. The villa is nice and cosy and cleaned every day. Because there is a car with driver available it is possible to see all the cultural highlights and overwhelming of Bali in a relaxed way. When you don't like to travel around a stay at your private pool is an excellent alternative. A real great place to stay and relax with or without a good massage. We will return here in the future for sure

“Perfect setting” We travelled to Candidasa in Jan 2013 for 8 days (2 adults & 3 kids 11,8 & 4). We stayed in Jogolo and the accommodation was exactly as pictured. It was very comfortable & clean. We all had an amazing stay mostly relaxing by the pool and are all very much looking forward to another stay. We were delighted by the hospitality offered by Iouri and the lovely staff. We have no hesitation recommending the accommodation as it was really lovely.
