“a Wonderfull relaxing location” we stayed at the villa for 2 nights and had a Wonderfull time. the place was exactly what we needed to relax after touring sri lanka for 4 days. the villa is well maintained, we faced no issues with bugs or mosquitos. the surrounding land within the property and outside has a great landscape and the pool area is the best relaxing spot for early morning coffee and breakfast. the staff is extremely helpful especially the chef Asila who had assisted us throughout the stay. the owner is extremely helpful and available to reply at any time regardless of the time difference. the place is located off of the main road and inland. nonetheless, it is easy to get to by tuktuk and wont cost much for transport from any spot in hikkaduwa. i would stay in this villa again and i highly recommended.

“Outstanding” Could not rave about the Sri Mathie villa enough. The location was brilliant and the surroundings of the villa were suburb. The villa itself was extremely clean and decked with all the mod cons you would expect. The real highlight for us was the staff. Suba and her family took such good care of us. The food was a real standout for us. Highly recommended.

“Old world charm” Wow!!!...step back in time to experience the old world charm of a beautiful "1860's Dutch Colonial Villa", with amazing rooms with period furnishings and comfortable beedrooms with 4 poster beds. Be and feel totally spoilt by Karin "The Wonderful Host of Templeberg Villa", enjoy the delicious Sri Lankan cuisine prepared by Trixie, and be well looked after by Sandew. Watch and see the morning ritual of the monkeys swinging through the coconut trees while sitting on the patio having a freshly brewed coffee. Make sure you book one of the most amazing massages you will ever receive in the relaxing massage room. Templeberg Villa is situated a short tuc tuc ride from the historic Galle Fort, situated in the Bay of Galle, there is so much to see and do. Enjoy and relax on the beaches and watch the beautiful sunsets. I enjoyed myself so much that I am planning my next trip to have a much longer stay at the fabulous "Templeberg Villa".

“Extended stay in Sri Lankan sanctuary” Our initial three day booking at Gallindawatta villa drifted irresistably into five very relaxing, comfortable ones in this peaceful home. Meeting the friendly Roshan and other staff was the first in a series of surprises that enamoured us with this place. The garden and pool were more beautiful than the photos showed, the house was immaculate, well appointed and homely and the food and service was really wonderful. It seemed nothing was too much trouble in the kitchen and all tyhe staff went about their work, conscious of providing guests with privacy combined with service, suggestions and advice when needed. We felt especially spoilt with the range and quality of fresh, delicious meals, with far more than adequate quantities served.The property is quiet and secluded, not far from the simple activity around small nearby villages, or a tuk tuk ride to town or beach. The feeling is that of safe sanctuary, close to nature and free from the noise of city life, yet there are all the modern facilities you need to stay entertained and in touch with the rest of the world. The website description is understated, so finding our accommodation better than expected made it very difficult to leave. We highly recommend an extended stay to settle in, feel the rhythms of life at Gallindawatta and fully appreciate all that it has to offer.
