“Superfantastic place!” Just spent a fantastic week at Sunnybank! The place is an unbelievable relaxation/recreation haven! They've truly thought of everything! We even took advantage of the chef-prepared dinner for 12 - didn't have to lift a finger. There's plenty of room and activity for people of all ages so bring the kids, bring the grandparents and prepare for a wonderful week. The only slight downside (and why it didn't get 5 stars) is when they say you need 4-wheel drive to get there, they mean it! Especially one with high clearance (not one of those 'station-wagon 4-wheel drives') but if you're prepared for that you'll be fine. The run up over the dune can be a little daunting. Be sure to have a spotter to make sure no one is coming from the other direction. Other than that, a perfect 10!

“Judge's Chambers, Corolla NC” The location of Judge's Chambers was outstanding. The house met all of our family's needs. Just keep in mind that the house is not over the top like the surrounding homes in the neighborhood. It had a large, beautiful pool which was in full sun all day long. The game room was great too. The furnishings and the carpeting were a bit dated, but that didn't bother us since were spent most of our time outside, or at the beach. We stayed for 2 weeks and felt that it was very well-priced for all that it had.

“A wonderful week at the "Corral"” The house was very comfortable. It is a great house for fun inside and out. The pool was very nice. The location is perfect for walking everywhere. The view of the sunsets from the pier were fantastic. An enjoyable week.

“Relaxing with a hint of naughty” We had a wonderful time here. Relaxing on the deck looking at the ocean while having coffee in the morning and cocktails in the hot tub at night. Very spacious living/dining room to accomidate all 9 of us. We would recommend it to everyone!

“Great stay!” We enjoyed our stay at barefootin! Easy walk to the ocean with two toddlers and plenty of "stuff" to do in the area. House was so clean and accommodating. We had a wonderful time.

“Relaxing slice of paradise” We stayed in this wonderful home and had a great week. There were only a few glitches that were taken care of quickly. It is a short walk to the beach and is just across the street form the grocery store. The heated pool and the hot tub were lovely. Plenty of room for the whole family and it was kid friendly. Would definitely return.

“Great location” Outer Banks Blue is a great rental company. They always responded quickly to our problems. Unfortunately, that was often. There were quite a few issues with the house. It is in nedd of some TLC. At least the hot tub was up and working! We will rent again with the company, but not that house.

“Crazy squirrel” The home was better than we expected. The ammenities exceeded our needs. The view from the back of the house was very comforting. There was one stipulation for enjoyment of the view, the resident squirrel. He (the squirrel) obviously calls home the upper level back deck. He makes his presence when he's hungry or just wants to mingle with the tenants. He likes peanuts but beware, if you feed him, he may wear out his welcome. I would definitely recommend this property. Our stay was very pleasant.

“great vacation house” overall we had a great experience! the home was very sound-proof and had all the emenities we needed; however, it would have been helpful if in the description you listed the age of the home. we really have no complaints, but may have chosen a "newer" home. the pool and hottub were great. the distance to the beach was very accurate. the check-in time is a little later than we would like-we had many young children in our group who may have befifitted from a chance to rest after a long drive. to avoid the traffic, we arrived fairly early, so we had about 4 hours until we could get into our home. i understand that the cleaning service needs time to do their work, but perhaps you could offer an early check-in as an option (for a fee) and make arrangements for the cleaning crew to arrive early at those particular homes so they would be ready for occupancy by 1 pm or so. we are planning a return trip next summer, but we'll need to wait to see everyone's schedules to make our reservations for summer '10!

“Slam Dunk Property” We had an amazing week at the Slam Dunk rental property. The house was spacious, clean, and really was a steal for the price. Not within walking distance to the beach but it was close enough to the drive on beach which is what the outerbanks is all about anyway. All in all it may not be one of the best homes in the area, but it very well may be one of the best homes for the price, positively a value rental. Only negative thing I can think of is some of was some of the beach chairs and other beach accessories were not in the best shape so you will want to bring your own. All in all, great trip and great rental, would recommend to anyone vacationing with friends or family.

“ULTIMATE RELAXATION” I STAYED HERE WITH MY HUSBAND, AND MY TEENAGE KIDS AND HAD THE BEST WEEK EVER. THE HOUSE FIT US PERFECTLY WITH EACH OF US ENJOYING A PRIVATE BATH AND LOTS OF DECK SPACE. THE HOUSE WAS OPEN AND AIRY AND THE GAME ROOM GAVE US MANY EVENINGS OF FUN.. THE SHORT WALK TO THE BEACH MADE IT CONVENIENT TO WALK BACK AND FORTH FROM BEACH TO POOL AND HOT TUB.

“Wonderful time in Outer Banks” Our family had a wonderful time in the Outer Banks. Beacon's Watch was a really nice home to have. We really enjoyed the swimming pool! It was a little walk to the beach, but not too bad. We did have a few cockroaches visit us in the house but we called and a service man came out and sprayed. Over all it was a nice place to come back to after a day at the beach!

“Wonderful layout” I would recommend to anyone who has a large family. The bedrooms were situated throughout to give everyone their own space. The upstairs kitchen familly room area is large enough so that the family can gather when they desire. The pool and hot tub are a great asset to relax at home. The beach is a bit of a walk.

“Wonderful Family Vacation” We stayed at SmileAway for the OBX Marathon. It was a wonderful family vacation experience. The house was beyond spacious with more than enough room for all of us and our dogs. We had great weather with only a few days of rain. The indoor activities such as the air hockey table (needs a bit of work) and the pool table (could use new cues), plus all the board games and books kept us busy when we couldn't go sight seeing. The WiFi Internet access was appreciated as well. We would definitely stay again.

“August 2009 stay” We had a great time at Pirate's Paradise. House is well equipped with lots of room for everyone. Poolside was great -- lots of sun throughout the day. Favorite escape was the hammock on the second level deck! Highly recommended. BTW...try to arrive in the area early to avoid the crazy traffic going up to Corolla.

“A great family vacation” The house was easy to find and check-in couldn't have been simpler. When we arrived the house was clean and everything was easy to find. The beach was a short 5 minute walk away. The pool was nice and the hot tub was great. The kitchen was open to the entire upstairs living area which was very nice. Overall, a very nice house in a great location and neighborhood. We would use this property again.

“This place is loaded with extra's...just pack your bathing suit!” This house was the best house that we have ever rented. It was beautiful, packed with everything you could want, and the view of the pond was very nice! Ob Blue did a great job from start to finish with our rental/reservations.

“Almost Heaven” We had a wonderful time staying at Stillwater. Upon moving in, we found that 2 of the sliding glass doors wouldn't lock. Both were fixed within a day of us calling to report the problem. We also had trouble with the pool filter, but a service man was sent out right away, the problem diagnosed, and a new filter was ordered and installed within a couple days. The house itself was gorgeous. Very spacious. There were eighteen people in our group, and we all had plenty of room to move about. The only complaint we had was that the kitchen could use 2 to 4 more barstools, (there is plenty of room at the counter) and the kitchen wasn't very well equiped. One of the coffeemakers wouldn't work. None of the food storage containers had lids to fit, and the lids that were there had no containers. The location was wonderful, with the beach access right across the street. We all loved the pool, hot tub, and wrap around decks. The pool table was a popular gathering spot in the evenings, and we really enjoyed having the horseshoe pit. This was the first time we'd had a house with an elevator, and we'll never rent a house without one again. Overall, the house was very comfortable, and the service was great. We were disappointed that the house is advertised as "sleeps 16" but there was only seating in the kichen for 14. The location was the best, with the beach so close. We'll definetly consider renting Stillwater again.

“Summer Vacation” We had two families of six people. Plenty of room to spread out. Three levels and plenty of room for teens to hang out while parents could find some space. Six teenagers enjoyed the pool and hot tub when not at the beach. The house had plenty of nice amenities and well located. Easy walk to the beach out the back gate, seafood right across the street, easy drive to grocery. Any issues we had Outer Banks Blue quickly responded with a phone call! Very positive opinion of OBB and rental experience. No big surprises with the house. Internet virtual tour very accurate representation. Three realively minor points to pass along. Bring your own cleaning supplies. Our assumption was that "turn key" would provide a few cleaning supplies in the property. No dishsoap, dishwasher detergent, mop, bleach,etc. Several screens in lower levels were in disrepair, but once air conditioning was on it didn't matter, but first few nights we could leave the windows open so we applied tape to screens. Also, king bed on upper level was super, super HARD (ouch). Difficult to get a good nights rest. Everyone else seemed well rested though! :) If you rent here I hope you enjoy your stay. Our families had a very enjoyable week.

“We'll Be Back Next Year!!!” We held our annual family reunion with my husband's family and there were 15 of us. We absolutely loved this house....it was spacious and very well kept up. Just the additional bathrooms were so very appreciated and the elevator worked perfectly for my mother in law who is 87 and has trouble with steps. The living room area was very large and accommodated all of us as well as the very large dining table and kitchen bar so we could all eat together. The Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals as well as our 'happy hour ' mixtures. Parking for the multiple vehicles was great too. House is very secluded and privacy was great. loved, loved, loved it....and plan to re rent it next summer as well as possibly this winter for a long weekend. thanks

“3 Sons at 4 Sea Sons” From the time we placed our reservations online until we checked out our vacation at 4 Sea Sons was a 5 star experience. The 7 bedroom home was spotless when we arrived. It was equipped with everything we could have possibly needed for our stay there. The kitchen was stocked with all the cook and bakeware we needed. Every bed- room had TV and the speakers for the stereo system were even outside in the pool and bar area! The location was 1 block to the beach and the shopping area was within a bike ride away (the house even had 2 bikes). The best thing about our stay at 4 Sea Sons was the time spent with family and this was possible because he house was so roomy that we could all be together for a week and not even get on each other's nerves. The one bad thing about our week vacation at Four Sea Sons was saying good bye.
