Properties on Holiday Lettings can be sorted/ranked in the following ways:
Orders properties using various data points, in particular: ratings, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, minimum number of nights, and data relating to the interest in/bookings of the property through us, including the advertiser’s rate of providing quotes to travellers who make enquiries. Other factors include price, property capacity, number of photographs, location, amenities, appearance in search results, page views, and the advertiser’s responsiveness and cancellation rate.
Price low to high / high to low
Orders properties based on either (i) the property’s minimum nightly price, if the traveller has searched without dates, or (ii) the average nightly price for the applicable week of the year, if the traveller has input dates.
Orders properties by total number of reviews attached to the listing (highest to lowest), irrespective of average score. Where there is a listing with the same number of reviews as another (or a listing with no reviews), properties are sorted according to their proximity to the searched location.
“Great place and very friendly people - best place with young chi” We traveled as a family with two children (5 an 1,5 years) and stayed in Sandul Villa for one week end of march 2013. For us it is a perfect place, lots of space, great garden, very friendly and helpful people - all you need to make it easy traveling with little children.
We always felt safe and sort of pampered and spoiled by Tarange and Sarat who came every morning to the villa to prepare breakfast for us, drive us around by tuk tuk (on demand) and cook fantastic dinners in the evenings. The villa is as great as it looks on the pictures. There´s even a baby seat for cars, baby chair and a baby bed available - all very clean and happy to be used. Senaka, his family and staff are very friendly and very helpful.
The turtle farm, the boat trip on the river and the temple were great, most of the time we spent on the beach in the lagoon (which is ideal for little children) or "at home" on the terrace and in the garden. Senakas children came around and played with ours happily in the house and in the garden.
When we continued our journey further south Senaka organized us a good driver and even borrowed the baby seat - the change to "normal" accommodations was huge and we told everyone we met on the journey to go to Sandul villa in Beruwela - a great place to stay. We hope very much to come back one day!
