Relaxing in Bellapais

Glad to say that all the tests, paperwork and stress were worth it when we got to Cengiz' house. We had a relaxing time and really enjoyed staying in the lovely, spacious accommodation. Every convenience is there plus delightful patio areas and pool. Parking space was a bonus in the narrow streets of Bellapais Close to the Abbey and village restaurants. Cengiz was very helpful with the booking, particularly since we had to change the dates three times because of Covid! We will certainly be back. … see more

FALCON CREST
Peace and quiet in a lovely location.

We booked this accommodation for a little more independence, having stayed close by in hotel accommodation last year. We were not disappointed in our choice. "Falcon's Crest" comprises 4 mini-villas on a secure site, each with a slightly different aspect. We occupied "Aqua" which had a fabulous outlook over the valley to the sea beyond. The sun was directly on our terrace as it came up each morning. We appreciated the "laid back" attitude of the owner, so that after an initial introduction we were left to enjoy the total peace of this location. The villas were not serviced during our stay, but there was a comprehensive utility room with washing machine, all spare linen etc. All 'mod cons' were available inside the villa, including flat-screen TV with over 100 channels (though most of these were in Arabic, and a package with more English-speaking channels would suit the largely British guests who stay here).We particularly liked the large bath and beach towels (Louis Vuitton, no less!), the free WI-Fi and the very generous "Welcome Package". The owners two cats and dog became real friends during our stay, but it is fair to point out that if you were not a cat lover you might find their behaviour intrusive. All in all we had a most enjoyable stay, and would not hesitate to return, or to recommend this accommodation to others. … see more
A Beautiful Cottage With Private Pool And Wonderful Views
A Perfect Retreat

This is a first time we have used a private rental so didn’t really know what to expect and we were definitely not disappointed by this great find, a charming rustic cottage that has everything you could wish for. Well equipped throughout, well kept and very clean. The private pool was a god send in the intense Summer heat and was certainly used a lot. The views from the spacious roof terrace were impressive and we never tired of looking at them. The cottage is in the heart of Bellapais Village and an easy walk to the Abbey, small supermarket and the hand full of local restaurants. It is a much slower pace a life here which lends itself to a very relaxing holiday which is exactly what we wanted although a taxi can be taken into Kyrenia for more of a choice of restaurants, shops and a livelier atmosphere. Mary the owner was fantastic from the start, she is so helpful and her communication is second to none, any questions we had were answered almost immediately. Mary arranged the airport transfers with a local taxi firm who were extremely reliable. There is a file of useful information in the cottage that Mary has put together and she has thought of everything, even recipes if you wanted to cook. A brilliant holiday. … see more
