“Incredible Location, Fantastic Host - Highly Recommended” Our group of 8 had a fabulous stay at Swan Villas. It's just outside of Placencia in Maya Beach. The house is uniquely designed and very relaxing. Loved the private suites and especially the pool, when the heat got to be too much. There is lots of wildlife around, like iguanas and birds. The view is to die for. We enjoyed the kayaks on the "lake" side of the house and walking on the beach right across the street. Great restaurants in the area. We went to the Bistro 3 times. We were divers after the whale sharks and would be out most of the day. The house is very secure and the host is readily available and very helpful. Rudy gave us some great tips for the area, and even on to our next stop in San Ignacio. Would love to visit again.

“It couldn't possibly have been more perfect!” From the minute we boarded "Doris" and were promptly created with a warm welcome from Captain Cliff-- he simply said, "Welcome home," we knew we'd made the right choice. My wife and I were treated like royalty; the staff was very attentive to every need and seemed to intuitively know what would make each moment more perfect and delivered right on cue. Doris is a beautiful boat. In fact, Captain Cliff was doing some maintenance work on some of the other boats in the fleet when we arrived and was nice enough to give us a tour-- we would have been perfectly happy on any of them, but Doris is the flagship, luxury experience-- it's your personal 5 star floating hotel. We spent three days sailing the Cayes from Belize City to abergris Caye; Captain Cliff knew exactly where the best spots were to fish, snorkel, swim with manatees-- you name it; this crew knows there stuff. Every day was greeted with some great options and we simply had to choose what we felt like crossing off our bucket lists for the day. Anyone up for swimming with sharks-- there's an app for that; if turtles are more your pace-- they've got that covered too! This is quite possibly the best vacation we've had in years. I don't know how we'll ever top it! I don't think I'll try; I'm just going to book another trip on Doris next year!!! David M. San Francisco, Ca

“Wonderful experience in beautiful setting!” We stayed in unit a3. We were looking for a place to unwind and enjoy the warm weather for a week. We found Sunset Beach to be the perfect place! Even though it is out of town a ways, we loved how quiet and relaxing it was. We rented a golf cart the first day and explored the whole island. After that, if we wanted to go somewhere, we either walked up the beach, took the bikes, or a taxi. All were convenient and it really depends on how active you want to be. We enjoyed the kayaks, grilled one night, relaxed in the hammocks, swam or laid by the pool. All those were available right out our door! Chapin, the caretaker, was very responsive to any need we had and keeps the place neat and clean. Our condo had everything we needed and everything worked well. We would definitely stay at Sunset Beach again if we came to Belize.

“Idyllic getaway vacation” The Seagrape Escape is amazing. We traveled with our 2 adult children. We all loved the open layout of the home, the huge screened porch looking out to the sea, and the walkway to the thatch roofed pagado complete with hammocks. Our daughter absolutely loved that there was a queen size bed that was hanging on the porch. She slept there every night. Brian loved the hammock out by the sea. And we all loved the incredible restaurant that we could easily walk to. I couldn't recommend this place enough!

“Perfect peaceful paradise!” I can't say enough good things about this house... but let me try. I rented the upstairs unit - spacious wonderful layout with high vaulted ceilings, amazing porch/deck facing east a few feet from the ocean surrounded by palm trees. Wonderful clean private pool overlooking ocean and very private. Inside amenities are very nice, including air conditioned rooms including all living spaces. I rented several places on the Placencia Penninsula and this was easily my favorite!

“Island Living!” From the first cup of great Belizean coffee on the veranda each morning to falling asleep by the sound of rustling palm leaves, our 2 week stay at the tree house was extremely relaxing. We loved the long walks on the miles of sandy beaches, stopping for a lunch or drinks along the way. Every walk was a different adventure. During our first walk we met a local on bicycle selling fish and lobster tails. He then periodically came by the house with his fresh catch which we cooked on the grill. Eating fish that was caught only hours before is epicurean delight! Our arrival was made easy by armando who picked us up at San Pedro airport and transported us by boat to the tree house. Before boarding the boat, he took us to a supermarket where we bought our initial supplies. The ride on armando's boat through the mangroves and along the ambergris Caye was a wonderful introduction to the area. The house is well situated near a costal water taxi stop that took us to San Pedro for restaurants, shopping or ferries to Caye Caulker. It was also an easy and lovely walk along the beach to nearby restaurants, each affording us outdoor seating under the palms looking out at the reef, where we enjoyed the excellent local beer and food. Close by is Matte Grande, a surprisingly well stocked store where we purchased our food. The owners were very friendly, providing delivery right to the house as well as being a wealth of information about what to see and do. Don't miss the delicious weekend barbecue, right beside the store. The kayak at the house provided us with easy access to the nearby barrier reef for swimming and snorkeling. We went on an amazing snorkeling boat trip to Hoi Chan Canyons Marine Resort and Shark and Ray ally with Coral Reef Divers. Genie, the diver-owner and a neighbor, and his crew provide a wealth of information about marine life and local lore. But best of all, was experiencing relaxing island living. We will come back!
