“Spacious, New, Clean and Convenient.” We were very comfortable during our visit to akureyri and the surrounding region. The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped, and had bedding for at least 6 or 7. While on the southern outskirts of akureyri, the town is really not that big a city, and nothing is far. You could even walk to the local Bonus, which unfortunately kept rather abbreviated hours, like 10-1700 or so. The only thing lacking for us was the minimal TV reception on the nice large flat-screen. A good cable or satellite connection would have been a plus. Hi-speed internet, on the other hand worked fine. The apartment was equipped with brand new appliances, including washer and drier. I would suggest to the owner that a way be found to vent the dryer to the outside of the apartment, for more efficient drying, and less moisture in the bathroom. Finally, one more suggestion, it would have been nice to have received a local telephone contact # in our final reservation confirmation. We managed to forget the page with the passcode for the keybox, and had to call back to the USa to have someone read the email on our computer for us. I believe there may have been a local contact # in the instructions found in the apartment, but I'm not even sure about that. Again, this was a wonderful apartment, lacking nothing, and all facilities were brand new and lightly used.
