“A fantastic cottage in a truly beautiful, tranquil location” An excellent cottage on the Whale Fjord. Overlooks ice capped mountains and the fjord. A great place to relax. You can easily spend a lazy days around the cottage, soaking up the view or get out and about. Around 15 mins from the akranes tunnel. All amenities to cook/ BBQ or great food at the Hotel Glymer (not cheap). A short drive away, over in Borganes, there is a great, new family run restaurant serving lovely, reasonably priced food. Lots of walking to be had along the beach. Watch out for eagles, seals and hundreds of birds. Short drive to the bottom of the trail to the Glymer Foss. Would definitely return, couldn't recommend it highly enough. Hot tub was great to spend an evening with a glass of wine. Made our trip to Iceland complete.
