Escape from crowd and noise!

Come and visit Kyoto's mountainous area and stay in a traditional farm house renovated by my had.

This is for booking of an entire house (Not booking of a bedroom).We can only accept one group of guests at a time.

This is just rental house (excluding meal). You can cook at the kitchen or go to restaurant or we have some meal services, then please don't hesitate to ask me about meal.

If you choose to do a tour with us, you can pay by credit card. Depending on how long you stay with us, we can do multiple tours - it’s up to you.

We want to make your stay comfortable and entertaining, so we offer some added extras at our place for you to enjoy, including:

・Three dogs

Bernese mountain dog Daizu is very big and calm dog. But he is hip-joint dysplasia, so he can not walk well and his action is rough, sometimes can not control himself. Please forgive him if he will cannon into you.

Our French bulldog Maymay is very cute and she loves meeting new people and making friends.

Youngest big dog is Hachi. He is still puppy. So he is very powerful and still naughty but shy.

・A small farm full of seasonable vegetables, which you can harvest and eat for free

※We set up a cafe that serves light meals. We can enjoy eating there with you. :)

Basically, I will be with you and help you during your stay in the property. I and my wife Yukako also offer some optional (paid) extras during your stay, such as cooking, trekking. I speak English, thanks to my travel experience around the world.

My hobbies are motorcycle riding, playing with dogs, reading books to compare different cultures and history, sea fishing and making pickles with home-grown vegetables.

We like to get to know our guests and would love to learn about your culture and your life. We love meeting new people and sharing the history of Keihoku with our guests. We are friendly and like to chat. :)

Thank you for your warm review. They stay my home for over ten days. I worried about their tour way. Our area is typical rural. So, I worry this local rural location. But they enjoyed countryside life with naughty 3 dogs. Thank you for taking care of dogs by daughters. I hope they will come again.

I enjoyed everything with them very much. They always support our cooking,clean. And they give me interesting explanation about Sweeden culture and nature. 2 kids are very shy. Why can't I call Hideo (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

You can pay the remaining balance of your holiday at any point. Simply go to Manage my holiday booking and click Pay now.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Hideo (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Hideo (the owner) a message.

If Hideo (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
