Located on the border of Surry Hills and Redfern and only stone’s throw from Sydney’s foodie area of Waterloo and CBD this spacious, modern terrace has features 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and is perfect for groups of up to 7 people. (The 7th person is accommodated on the lounge).
After a busy day exploring the many attractions nearby, there are many spaces in the home to relax. Kick back on the oversized leather lounge watching Netflix or enjoy a gourmet meal freshly prepared in the fully equipped kitchen, or enjoy an alfresco dinner or glass of wine in the courtyard. Alternatively, escape with a coffee to the upstairs library and enjoy reading in the sun.
The saying of "It's what's on the inside that counts" describes our home perfectly. On the outside it is quite strange looking due to it's many past lives, but the interiors, as you can see from the photos have lots of character and are very homely. If you are after hotel perfect with ironed sheets and a pillow menu, then this home may not be suitable. While the house is kept clean and tidy, please note the home is not in showroom condition. It is a 130 year old well lived in home.

Note: This room has some road noise as it is at the front of the house, but the sunroom/office has a door that closes and acts as a sound barrier. However, if you are noise sensitive you will sleep soundly in bedroom 2.

2 free hour limit 8am-6pm.

For ALL DAY ALL WEEK FREE UN-TIMED parking there are a few spots just 3 minutes walk or many spots about 10-15 minute walk from the home if required.

Check in: As we work 9am-6pm Monday to Friday, check in is generally outside of these hours. Other times can be arranged in advance.
There are steep stairs in this house - therefore may not be suitable for persons with reduced mobility and defiantly not suitable for children.
There is no parking at this property. There is street parking but it is timed during the weekdays. Street parking on the weekend however is un-timed and free all weekend.
Rubbish collection service is on Wednesday evening. I kindly ask guests if they are able to wheel the bins though the home to the front street later on Wednesday evening and bring in on Thursday morning (even if its just into the front porch) Usually the red bin is the only one needing to be taken out (Red is household food scraps and dirty rubbish) And yellow is clean recyclables.
IMPORTANT: Please note that no rubbish is to be put into the red bin unless it is BAGGED SECURELY first (I've had unfortunate instances where Ive had to clean the bin out by hand as someone put all their rotting pasta and sauce straight into the bin.. yuk! ) Part of the bond may be forfeited if needing to clean out un-bagged rubbish or if there is excess rubbish not put out on the Wednesday night.
For peace of mind, we have changed from our standard domestic home and contents to a business insurance to sure our guests are FULLY COVERED. Most listings haven't checked their current policies and are possibly not covered. Check with the advertiser prior to booking.
While the house is kept clean and tidy, please note the home is not in showroom condition. It is very lived in. There may be a paint chip here and there, some scratches on the lounge, a couple of flaws in the carpet and the furniture has been well loved. The sheets won't be ironed either. But be assured, they are freshly laundered and clean and hygenic.
If you are after hotel perfect. This home may not be suitable.
The cleaning fee covers one visit by professional cleaners if you require a weekly service, I can organize for $70 per visit.
While the home is surprisingly quiet for its location it is on a main road it does have some street noise. People wanting a whisper quiet setting should seek a house away from the city centre or in back streets. The main bedroom as it is at the front of the home has the most noise, but it has a sunroom with a door that closes to soften the noise considerably.
HOUSE RULES:
No parties, smoking indoors, or overnight visitors, please.
Ladies - no high heels inside so the floorboards don't get damaged.
Pets allowed by prior arrangement only. Strict conditions apply about cleaning up after the pet.
Neat & tidy policy - Please clean up after yourself if using the homes facilities otherwise the bond will be forfeited. Please wash up and put away dishes at the end of your stay and remove the rubbish.
One clean is included in your visit. If you wish the professional cleaners to come again during your stay please advise and I will organize for you.
On departure you mush have taken out the rubbish and cleaned up the space and washed all dishes.
Rubbish must be taken out every Wednesday evening. (See other Things To Note for more details. )
