Luxurious 1.5 Bedroom fully furnished condo is located in a gated community of Costambar, Puerto Plata. Situated on one of the best locations in the Costambar, offers a stunning 180 degrees panoramic ocean view in the front and mountains in the back with lovely breeze most of the times. L-shaped spacious living room (which accommodates extra full size bed), AIR-CONDITION* in large bedroom with queen size bed and a very large closet, extra bed in living room, full kitchen with mahogany cabinets, appliances and dinning set, modern bathroom (hot/cold water) and balcony. Six large windows with screens. Spacious gated private drive way for parking.Bedroom door opens onto a spacious swimming pool, ceramic tiled large gazebo, jacuzzi (Un-heated) and waterfall. Very large backyard with gazebo and a built-in counter with a sink for conveniences. Professionally landscaped gardens with solar lights. Completely private and secluded backyard has gorgeous mountain view. Daily 24 hours of electricity in the apartment (a plus for the island), EXCEPT Air-condition will NOT work when there is a black-out which is roughly four hours a day*. Approximately 25 minutes away from the Puerto Plata international airport and 80 min. from Santiago airport. (*write to us if any questions about this)Amenities: Cable TV, FREE HIGHSPEED wireless INTERNET in the apartment, Full Kitchen, Refrigerator, Micro-wave, Toast-R-Oven, Cooking Utensils and Linens provided, Ceiling fans, No Smoking inside the apartment. HOUSE RULES:

Check-out time is 12 Noon.

Please turn off air conditioner, lights, fans, TV, etc. when you are outdoors.

Always lock doors and windows when going out.

Only PAID guests are to use the apartment, amenities, gazebo, swimming pool and garden area. Other visitors are allowed for a short visit strictly by owners permission and no more than two visitors, 2 hours per day will be allowed.

Swimmingpool/jacuzzi close at 6 pm.

No loud music as this is a residential area.

NO SMOKING INSIDE THE APARTMENT. Smoking is allowed only in garden and swimming areas. $125 fee will apply if smoked inside.

$25 charged for lost keys.

Keep your cash, cell phone, and valuables in Safe Deposit Box inside bedroom closet. You are solely responsible for your belonging inside and outside the apartment. Do not leave personal belongings in the pool/garden area.

Towels or any other items from apartment are not to be taken off premises.

The apartment will be cleaned and linen+towels washed at midweek, Personal laundry $5 per load.

Check white folder placed in the apartment for important phone numbers, Internet info, local map with marked locations of grocery, restaurants, beach and other information.

We recommend at least $2/day tip for the care taker.

Osa followed ALL rules of the house. Did not bring any strangers to our property like the previous tanent. We extended ourselves to make her feel comfortable and it was great to have her. In out 10 years of renting this place we have had very many many guests from all over the world and 99.9% had a very positive reviews for our place. We, as a host, have responsibility to make sure guests get what we promise on the sit but the guests have their responisibility to observe the house rules an not sneak in unpaid friends to sleep and ring prostitues to our place in this case we asked one guest to pack their bas and leave. Osa was great and they are most welcome to come again.

Franco and his two male friends violated many house rules and were the worst guests we ever had. First they brought an additional adult guest to sleep over without informing us or paying for him. Then they had several women come over. use the pool, Jacuzzi, smoke in the swimming pool, play loud music, and stay until late at night without express permission. We had a heated argument when we objected to the presence of additional guests and their objectionable behaviour, reminding that this was quiet, family residential area and they should not be disturbing the peace and quiet of neighbors. They left the apartment dirty and smelly.. Franco wanted to return as a guest in July. After this experience he and his friends are not welcome. We have over 60 reviews on other sites, the majority are 5 stars and none unfair as that of Franco.

I would use again if just me traveling. Window treatment needs attention. Kitchen appliances prefer more modern items:newer coffee maker, microwave.

It was a pleasure to have David Kitchups stay at our property. The window treatments and a new coffee maker were just replaced with new one after the guest left. To use a Microwave in this country is a little complicated. One has to be very careful NOT to use it when the electricity is off otherwise it draws too much power from inverter and then knocks of the inverter. We have lost several microwaves in the past few years. That is why we have not included microwave in our property description. Even in the United States not all hotels provide microwave even the one with $300/night. No other guests have requested this.
