A top floor corner flat [no noise from upstairs] Only just modernised and re furnished in a light and modern way. Stunning balcony with panoramic views. You can watch the sun rise, view boats, swimmers and even see the fish in the sea all from your breakfast table.
Balcony on the front overlooking the beach and sea, separate balcony off the kitchen for clothes drying. The apartment is situated at the edge of the old town 50 metres from it medieval streets and restaurants. Villefranche is the prettiest old fishing village on the Cote d' Azure.
The beach is 1 mins walk, very good for sunbathing or swimming or a day with the kids. The station is 2 mins walk and you can get a stunning train ride direct to Monaco14 mins Nice 10 mins Cannes 45 mins. Italy is only 45 mins. There are shops a few hundred yards away, and more excellent restaurants than you can visit in a fortnight.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region
The Cote D'Azur and particularly Villefranche Bay is beautiful all year round and this area has its own micro climate. People even swim in the Med at Christmas. The Blue coast [Cote D'Azur] is one of the most beautiful locations in the world - the winters are pleasant and mild, while the summers warm without humidity. The French Rivera has long been associated with the rich and famous.
Monaco, Cannes, St Jean Cap Ferrat, St. Tropez and Italy is only a short ride by train bus or car. The sea is warm for bathing most of the year and is ideal for water sports, fishing, or just sunbathing. There is a never ending selection of other places of interest, from Nice Old Town to cultural curiosities. There are many historic villages within the area from, cliff top Eze, Saint Paul. Skiing is possible in Auron in winter, and you can tour the lavender fields and pretty Provencal villages further inland. There are hosts of top quality restaurants serving French, Italian, Moroccan and many other cuisines.
Villefranche Sur Mer / Villefranche Old Town area
Villefranche is one of the most wonderful places of the Cote d'Azur. It dates back to pre Roman times and you can see its history at every turn. The old streets are a wonder with its medieval citadel and its historic, atmospheric streets lined with shops, restaurants and cafes.
The property is on the edge of the old town, so all of this is one minute walk away. There's something for everyone around Villefranche. A beautiful unspoilt beach for swimming and lots of boating activity in the bay, you can hire boats for fishing or sight seeing 300 mtrs from the flat. In the historic Old Town there are restaurants, cafes and gift shops, as well as food shops, bakers, butchers etc. - all a stones throw away. There are lots of fantastic walks from around the citadel and the fort at Mont Alban that overlooks it, cliff walks around the coast, exploring the nearby towns of St Jean Cap Ferrat and Beaulieu etc.
If you are interested in painting many famous artists have visited Villefranche and painted here; you will see Jean Cocteau's church on the seafront; he painted the inside for the local fishermen. Elsewhere the local council has cleverly put reproductions of some of the famous works of art at the point at which they where painted. The Romans were one of the first to realise its potential and the town was once part of Italy. The Russians used to fuel their Mediterranean fleet in the harbour and the American forces were here for many years.

Cheap flights available from EasyJet, Jet2, Ryan Air fly to Nice. Then you can get aTaxi [50 Euro] bus or the train. The station is 200mtrs from the property

A well-behaved dog is allowed but sorry, no cats. Strictly no smoking except on the balcony. Refundable breakages deposit of £300 required on arrival, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection). 25% of rental fee due six weeks before your stay to secure booking.
