Welcome to Banksia Cottage. The perfect place to relax, refresh and revive!

Built in 1898, this romantic and enchanting two bedroom cottage, offers a combination of historic charm and heart warming character, while being perfectly complimented with all your modern day comforts.

Conveniently located on the city's doorstep in a quiet tree lined street adjacent to a large grassed playground, Banksia Cottage is within walking distance to the cafes, shops, pubs and CBD.

Featuring two bedrooms, open plan living, fireplace (wood supplied) and a large well-equipped country kitchen, the cottage is fully self-contained and can accommodate guests for 2 nights or 2 months.

The gorgeous front veranda provides a perfect spot to sit and take in the delightful garden while enjoying your complimentary refreshments. And if holidaying with your beloved pooch is on your wish list, then bring them along too! Only well behaved and quiet dogs need apply.

For our guests comfort and wellbeing, we provide hotel quality, professionally laundered and pressed linen.

Banksia Cottage is available all year round for short or long term stays, be it for business or pleasure. Prices quoted are for rental of the entire cottage so guests can relax knowing they will have the uninterrupted privacy and freedom, essential for any romantic getaway or revitalising family stay.

Unfortunately we are unable to host children under 12. Our house rules will be subject to your acceptance prior to confirming your booking. We allow dogs only and all pets are subject to our approval. Pets must be over 12 months old, kept off all beds and furniture and never left inside the cottage alone. We have a 'no party policy' and smoking is not permitted inside the cottage. Only guests noted within the booking are permitted to stay at the property.

Why can't I call Angela (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Angela (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Angela (the owner) a message.

If Angela (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
