From the owner

Moonlight Mountain, the main house, is run by the owners as a Bed & Breakfast/yoga retreat throughout the year. There are two double bedrooms and one twin all with balconies overlooking the ocean. It is situated high in the hills of rural Tobago with spectacular views of the Caribbean and Atlantic. Atop its own rainforest nature trail with bamboo grove and a haven for wildlife, a bird watchers paradise, we offer a unique experience of Caribbean living in a traditional style house, surrounded by tropical fruits and flowers.
Moonlight Shala is a self contained family room/studio apartment by the small pool and sundeck which overlooks Scarborough and the Caribbean Sea. The living area has seating and cable TV with a queen and two bunk beds which can be separated. There is a small kitchen area with a four ring gas cooker, fridge and all cooking utensils , separated from the living area by a 'sit-up' worktop and a shower room. The owners, who reside on the property, are available to advise/ organise trips and car rental. A supermarket is just a 5 minute drive down the hill as is one of our favourite restaurant's Salsa Kitchen- serving delicious tapas food. Wi Fi access is available on the main veranda.
Beautiful beaches are a short drive away. We can arrange reef snorkeling, diving over brain coral with manta rays and turtles, BBQ's and horse riding on the beach, watersports, waterfalls, golf, boat ,fishing and rain forest trips, African drumming, dancing to local rhythms and 'liming' at a variety of local events including the Goat & Crab Racing at Easter, Jazz Festival in April, Tobago Heritage in July, the Great Boat Race in August .

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Ginny (the owner) a message.

If Ginny (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
