Fantastic place to stay!! Absolutely loved it
Review Submitted: October 8, 2010 Date of Stay: August 2010
Wow! What can I say...this place is an outstanding place to stay, absolutely perfect for a holiday getaway. We arrived late on a Saturday night and were welcomed in straight away by the owners who were fantastic througout the holiday (more on them later). The accomodation is excellent. Our villa had two double bedrooms, both with ensuite facilities that had recently been installed. The villa was very clean and spacious. The pool and sunbeds etc were excellent and exactly what you need. It is the owners who make this place so special. Gino, the owners brother who lives and works on site (who is an absolute legend and the nicest Italian we have ever met) was unvelievably helpful and friendly. He did a pizza night on two occasions where he cooked fresh pizzas using ingredients from their own garden. Two words...'absolutely delicious!'. On our last day he even drove down to the butchers especially for us to cook us a bbq which again was perfectly cooked and delicious (biggest steak I have ever had). Also the owners wife (who is from Thailand) cooked us Thai food one evening which again was fantastic. I can honestly say that the owners of this place are the best hosts I have ever seen anywhere in the world! We will definately be returning to this place with absolutely no hesitation. 10 out of 10 all round!
Fantastic place to stay

One of the most relaxing places I've ever stayed. I'm going to have to just repeat and endorse the rest of the reviews. There were 14 of us taking up 3 of the 5 cottages/apartments, and the setup was perfect for a large group. The villa is clean, private, well maintained and the owners are extremely helpful. The pool is big enough for the number of apartments, and was absolutely necessary in the July heat. The fact that it's in among a lemon grove makes it feel very personal. The views out over the hills are magnificent, especially at night.
It's in a quiet, out of the way street, but still only about 6 or 7 minutes walk from Piazza Tasso. There's a mini market about 3 minutes walk away.
The apartments/cottages have everything you need if you want to eat in and are big enough so that you can stay in for a couple of hours without feeling cramped.
One of the apartments is up a narrow-ish staircase, which is a bit awkward if you have very small children, so just pick one of the others. On the other hand, if you don't have very small children, the apartments terrace is an amazing place to sit at night with a drink.
Casa sorrento - very nice apartment

Approaching the complex you would be forgiven for being a little worried about the location but on arrival those reservations will vanish. The fact that the residence is a short walk (5 - 10 mins from Piazza Tasso) turns out to be a godsend and not a problem. The tranquility of the location is well recieved compared to the hussle and bustle of the Piazza Tasso area (we stayed in Palazzo Di Guardati on our wedding night and although a lovely hotel it was quite noisy early in the morning due to the sheer amount of tourists in Piazza Tasso).
The apartment themselves are set within a lemon grove which is a lovely setting. There is a pool with ample sun loungers, a gorgeous solid wooden table with bench seating either side that would have definitely been our wedding reception venue choice had we not already organised it prior to the holiday. There are hammocks, swings, rooftop solarium and another outside eating area also.
Inside the villas (we had Capri and Amalfi) you get everything that you need. They are clean and well set out with TV, decent showers, kitchenette areas etc. Nothing more to say really.
What makes the stay such a pleasure (besides what is mentioned above) is the staff and especially Gino. He went out of his way to help make our stay a memorable one and he needn't have done as within 15mins of arriving, myself and my newly appointed wife had already decided that we were going to return next year.
We loved it and as it says in the title.............

Just returned from 7 days in Villa Casa Sorrento. The pictures really do not reflect the beauty of the complex.
Casa Sorrento was large enough for a family of 5, the air con worked a treat, the pool is large enough when all villas are full and the grounds are beautiful. The whole place is extremely tidy and Antonino and his family cannot do enough for you! We will be returning in 2 years time as we enjoyed our holiday that much.
There are two small supermarkets within 3/4 mins walk and and a larger one about 10 mins walk. Although the villas are 10 mins from Piazzo Tasso it is very quiet.
Met all our needs - Just Perfect

Just back from a week in complex and it was super. We were there for a family wedding (14 of us in total) and we took 3 of the apartments. The place was so perfect for us, we were so relaxed and felt right at home. It is brilliant for children who can run around and be free, which they couldn't do in a hotel. The owners were so helpful and friendly and made us feel so welcome, they did everything they could to accommodate us. The gardens and pool are so pretty, we basically had it to ourselves. The apartment is about a 10 min (max) walk to the town, but you feel like you are in the countryside, it couldn't be better. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay for anyone who appreciates authentic Italian living with all the tourist facilities close by. It was a wonderful retreat and we would definitely go back. Like the previous review said, it's like a hidden gem, but should be shared, cos it's so great!

Great spot in southern Italy!
We just returned from spending a week at Casa Sorrento. Alex, Antonino and his wife and everyone else involved were great to deal with and always available when we had questions or to inquire if we needed anything.
The place was spotlessly clean inside and out, in a quiet neighborhood with mostly the sound of roosters crowing in the morning, birds singing and if a gust of wind came up a lemon or orange may fall off the tree (there are many on the property)
We did not need a car and could walk downtown easily or to train station or port for Pompeii or Capri. It is a great place for a large family gathering as there are several separate apartments on the property.
Ciao!

I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had at Casa Sorrento - A peaceful, beautiful property which was delightfully comfortable and well equipped in an ideal location to allow us to get in and out of Sorrento with ease while keeping us well away from the noise and bustle of the centre of town. It is particularly well suited to travellers interested in walking around the Sorrentine peninsula as there are many stunning and interesting walks into the hills above Sorrento which start just outside the front door. One of the best holidays we have ever had and a real "find". I'd happily return - if only to sample the delicious oranges and lemons growing in the pleasant gardens surrounding the property.
