About the home

This pretty provencal villa has 4 bedrooms all with air conditioning, boasts a private heated infinity pool with alarm with beautiful sea views and numerous terrace areas with views to the sea and surrounding countryside.

The villa is set within enclosed grounds and has a lovely wisteria covered pergola ideal for eating (alfresco).

The town square of St Aygulf only 5 mins drive away has plenty of shops, bakers, butchers, newsagent, and banks. Also in the town square a market is held every Tuesday and Friday mornings and a nightly craft market in july and august.

The villa is in a quiet area, but is still only a heartbeat away from the nearest beach (0.9km).

For those who can tear themselves away from the pool, you can enjoy a variety of day trips which offer something for everyone. Such as the numerous vineyards for wine tasting in roquebrune sur argens.
The fabulous Gorge du Verdon- one of the most spectacular canyons in Europe & the beautiful hillside villages of St Paul De Vence, Fayence & the perfume manufacturing town of Grasse are less than an hour away. For those who enjoy beautiful views or the odd bit of fishing, you can visit Lac Cassien, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Europe that also offers watersport facilities. For those who like their glitz & glamour or just window shopping, the must see locations of Monaco, Cannes and St Tropez are all within an easy reach by car, train or bus.

The lounge is well furnished and has a high vaulted ceiling and patio doors opening onto a large terrace which in turns leads to a further terrace and pool area. The lounge features a log fire plus electric wall heaters for those wishing to stay in the winter months. Also included is Sky TV, DVD, Wifi with printer & music ipod speakers.

All rooms have traditional wooden shutters and electric heaters for cosy winter evenings.

There are 4 bedrooms in the villa:
Master bedroom with double bed and en-suite shower and dressing room (air con) patio doors with electric shutters opening onto small private terrace.
Bedroom 2 with double bed (air con) exclusive use of family bathroom patio doors onto balcony and sea views.
Bedroom 3 with double bed (air con) patio doors and juliet balcony with sea view.
Bedroom 4 with twin beds ,1 sofa bed suitable for children (air con) and sea views.

The Provencal style fitted kitchen fectures 4 ring electric hob, oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and table and chairs. There is also a utility which has a fridge,freezer toaster ,microwaveand 2 ring hob.

Further details outdoors:
For the sports minded individual, the Villa has a table tennis table and basketball net.
There are two tennis courts only few mins away, which are free if booked in advance from the office & there are four golf courses all within a 20/30 minute drive from the Villa.

Garage facilities and ample parking available in the gated drive.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Var region

No other region of France stirs the imagination and stimulates the senses as strongly as Provence. The fragrant countryside with its wild herbs is scattered with historic fortified medieval towns to explore, and if all you want to do is relax there can be few better places than the South of France, with its glorious weather, delicious food and fine wines.

The Saint Aygulf area

There are plenty of local beaches and coves within the St Aygulf and Frejus area. Most offer parking along the coast road. The beach also offers watersports facilities featuring wind surfing, jet ski's, Para gliding & banana boat.

There are numerous activities such as a waterpark with the largest wave machine in Europe, large fun fair with spectacular rides. Go - Karting for all ages & for the more leisurely pursuit, there is horse & pony riding all of which are within a 10 min drive!

For the serious golfer, there are 3 x 18 hole courses within a 20 mins drive & slightly further a field are 3 additional courses, still within a 40 mins drive.

Frejus is steeped in history as it was a major Roman settlement & numerous buildings & monuments dating from this period can still be found.

“an enjoyable and relaxing holiday” We had a very pleasant time in villa Gardiette, the house is very well equipped, a home from home. My teenage daughters liked the fact there were plenty of DVDs to watch in the evening, the bedrooms were very comfortable, the kitchen very nice and clean , and although the pool is not big, it is warm and the view is great from it. I liked sitting on the terrace watching the sea. The barbecue terrace was excellent too. We recommend going to Sainte-Maxime for an evening meal, it is very lively and atmospheric, and take the ferry from there to Saint-Tropez. Grimaud is lovely too.There are nice walks to do in the hills above the house, go to the top of Avenue des Corailleurs and you are in the open countryside, but with signposted walks. The best beach for adults and teenagers is La Gaillarde, great swimming. We enjoyed our week very much.

“perfect - didn't want to leave” This is a stunning holiday villa: fabulous views over the sea with all the comforts of home inside. It is in an excellent location to explore the area. On the days we could drag ourselves away from the pool and views we visited St Tropez (via water bus), Cannes and Monte Carlo (efficient air conditioned train service). From arranging the booking, through arrival and departure the owner Gina and local support Jan were more than helpful. There are also some good beach restaurants in St Aygulf. (A car is necessary - although you could walk to the village it is a very steep walk back!) Due to the location and quality of the villa it would also be extremely comfortable for out of season holidays. (We were delighted to discover it had Sky Sports so we could keep up with the football news!) We hope to come back to the area another time and would definitely want to stay here again.

“Fantastic holiday in fantastic house” When we arrived at Villa Gardiette and saw the view from the terrace it took our breath away - a full panorama of the beautiful blue Mediterranean sea. The house is perfect for a family holiday, very comfortable, with all the amenities that you could want, plus more stunning views from the bedroom balconies. The house was very clean and the representatives who met us were extremely charming and helpful (and English speaking). This is a wonderful base to explore a gorgeous area of France. We enjoyed taking the water taxi from St Maxime to St Tropez (which is a MUST to visit - all those millionaire yachts!). The owners were endlessly helpful, even buying little toys as presents for the little guests. I thoroughly recommend this house and the area. In fact when we landed back in the UK to horizontal rain, 12C and a cutting wind, we very nearly got back on the plane to our lovely holiday villa.

“Magnificent views to the sea from an excellent villa in an ideal location.” The villa is clean, spacious and well maintained. It is very relaxing with magnificent views down the valley to the sea. It has both security and privacy. You can sit around the pool or go for a walk around the area. The local town is within walking distance but a car / transport is recommended if you want to go sightseeing or play on some of the many golf courses around the area.

“Perfect holiday villa” We wish we could have stayed longer than just one week, the villa was extremely clean and had everything we could have wanted and more. The views from the patio and private pool are just wonderful. The owners were very easy to work with and so helpful with recommendations for local restaurants and places to visit. We plan to return next year, hopefully for two weeks!

“Perfect holiday villa” Beautiful villa with wonderful views, and a lovely pool. Plenty of sunbeds with comfy cushions, chairs and parasols. When booking we thought perhaps the villa would not be very private with the pool at the front of the property, we were pleasantly surprised as it is not overlooked at all and the little close is very quiet. The villas has everything you need, its like home from home. if you do decide to drag yourself away from the pool there are some very nice beaches nearby. There were eight of us and we all enjoyed our week . We would certainly recommend Villa Gardiette and are considering returning next year.

“Beautiful villa with stunning views, terrace and infinity pool” A spacious and well equipped property, with a very homely feel. Well located for trips all along the Riviera whilst also benefitting from the local amenities of St Aigulf. The white sands and clear water at the local beach are a short drive away, or you can chill out by the pool whilst enjoying the spectacular views. Plenty of local restaurants, a lovely market (twice a week we think) and a convenient supermarket. Would definitely recommend to both couples and families alike. We'll definitely be going again!
