Spacious luxury apartment (150 m2), 3 bedrooms, large lounge. Sleeps 8. Slovakia has lots of things to see and do. Just awakening to tourism, the country offers exception value for money. It is centrally located in the High Tatras Mountains, an ideal location for Skiing, hiking, climbing, and mountain biking or for day tripping to villages, health Spas, churches, caves etc. Fully modernized and refurbished apartment with a beautiful outlook � High Tatras mountains to the rear, rolling valleys to the front and the Low Tatras mountains to the front of the property.
Located in Tatranska Polianka (typical, mountain village) near to restaurants, shops and a Tram station (150 meters). There is adequate parking without restrictions outside the Chalet. The apartment is fully heated by gas central heating.
The modern tram travels along the whole length of the High Tatras and down to Poprad (airport & serious shopping) so that you can visit all of the different ski resorts. Also very useful for walking as you can walk where you want and there is always the tram to bring you home.

The East Slovakia / High Tatra Mountains region
The High Tatras national park is the most beautiful in Slovakia. The High Tatras became the country’s first national park in 1948 and includes the mountain chains of Belianske Tatry and Západné Tatry (Western Tatras), their length of 55 km making them one of the smallest mountain ranges of alpine character in Europe. The High Tatras national park has an area of 73,800 ha., with 30,703 ha forming a buffer zone, and penetrates into the districts of Liptovský Mikuláš, Poprad, Kežmarok and Tvrdošín. The highest summit of the High Tatras, and of the whole Carpathians, is Mt. Gerlachovský štít, at 2655 m. whilst the symbolic national peak of Slovakia, also located in this national park, is Mt. Kriváň 2495 m. high.
Presovsky / Stary Smokovec area
Almost two thirds of the national park are covered by forests, prevailingly spruce and fir-spruce. The dominant tree species is the spruce with a significant occurrence of Scots pine, Swiss pine, larch, and Swiss mountain pine. Deciduous forests – beech and maple growths - occur less frequently and mainly in the Belianske Tatry. The High Tatras are mostly granite, the Western Tatras mostly of crystalline slates and the Belianske Tatry mostly limestone. There are 110 lakes, or mountain tarns in the park, which have been formed in glacial kettles. The deepest tarn is Veľké Hincovo pleso, with a maximum depth of 54 m. From among the park’s many waterfalls, the biggest is Kmeťov waterfall, 80 m high. In the High Tatras area there are many karst formations, though the only cave accessible to the public here is Belianska jaskyňa (1750 m long) with its fascinating stalactite-stalagmite decoration.
How to get there
Fly Sky Europe to Poprad from Luton, only 15 miles from the property Other airports are Krakow, Kosice, Bratislava. Mini bus pickup from all of these airports can be arranged. The apartment is located approx 150 metres from an excellent tram which runs at the base of the High Tatras and can be used to visit a number of villages and towns, it also connects to Poprad for shopping, Aqua City, Train and Airport.

Further details indoors: There are 3 bedrooms (2 with a double bed & 1 family room). Additionally the lounge has 2 double sofa beds. A travel cot is provided. A large lounge circa 30m2, has dining area with seating for 10. The kitchen is well equipped (dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven and gas hob) and of an open plan design to the lounge area with a breakfast bar. Bathroom with WC, sink, combined bath & shower. Separate shower room, equipped with a walk in shower. Separate WC. This apartment is ideal for families. It is a good base from which to enjoy the three main skiing areas.

Martin & Miranda..... Ski Feb 09 The apartment is wonderful, very spacious and fitted to a very high standard. We had wonderful weather it snowed most of the time so the kids loved it! Good selection of skiing for all abilities and very reasonable.
Chris & Hayley, Jim and Anne, John and Jane. The apartment was easily big enough for 6 adults and 2 children. We love Slovakia at last we have found somewhere it is possible to eat and drink and still be relaxed about the bill.
Tracey & Simon and the kids Great holiday, it is so easy with Poprad airport only 20 mins away. Loved Aqua City to relax the aching limbs
