Set in a beautifully landscaped enclave, which shares its own pool, the villa has stunning views across the hills of the Luberon. There is a terrace and small garden for alfresco dining. The pretty Provencal village within the resorts with its restaurants, shops, golf club, hotel, cave etc is a short walk. Closer still are the equestrian centre, children's farm, P&V kids club, playground, tennis and volleyball courts and the wave pool, water slides etc.

The villa was completed in 2007 and has been finished to a high standard. Spread over two stories, the villa provides spacious accommodation (> 70 m sq / 700 sqft) for up to 5 people. Kitchen is well stocked for full cooking / dining in if required.

Overall domaine is gated with 24/7 security. ATM in P&V reception in Pont Royal village. The villa is situated at the edge of the Domaine with great views across the Luberon, but still within a 10 minute stroll to the village, and just 5 minutes from a range of larger swimming pools, children's farm, tennis, equestrian, playground, volleyball, kids camp etc.

Conditions
Changeover day is Saturday within season but other arrival and departure days may be facilitated in low or mid season. 25% deposit payment required when booking with remainder to be paid 8 weeks before trip commences. Money to be paid in euros into owner's bank account. There is also a 500 euros per week refundable security deposit.
The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Bouches-du-Rhone region


The villa is located north of Marseille, between the historic cities of Aix and Avignon. To the east is the Durance river and the hills of the Luberon famous for its countryside of woods, lavender fields and vineyards as painted by Cezanne.
Spread throughout are some of the most beautiful ancient market towns in France (Lourmarin, Lauris, Roussillion, Bonnieux, Gordes etc). To the south west is the Carmargue with its wildlife reserve, famous for flamingoes and wild horses. The cities of Nimes and Arles are also worth a visit, as is St Remy de Provence (home of Nostradamus) and the nearby Les Baux de Provence (ancient mediavel citadel). Just east of Marseille is the old seaside town of Cassis with its lovely Mediterranean coves and nearby cliffs.

Golf
The world renowned 18 hole Golf Course is a par 72 extending over 6,300 meters and was designed by Seve Ballesteros in 1991. It provides excellent golfing facilities including driving range and clubhouse with restaurant and bar which is open to non-members.It is also home to David Leadbetter's Golf Academy which provides tuition to all levels. There is also a new 9 hole Golf course very close to the house with a 6-hole pitch and putt, designed by Michel Gayon, including a large training area with 3 greens (one 1-hole, Par 4 course and one 5-hole, Par 3 course) and a learning course.
The Domaine;
Facilities include a small supermarket,restaurants,During the summer, there are regular activities with the Domaine;twice weekly markets selling local produce,fashion and crafts,kids theatre, and music most evenings in the village. Avignon and Aix are major centres of culture and host regular festivals of art and music. There are endless places of historic interest with a 40 minute drive.
Surrounding Area
Recommended are the village markets (details in welcome pack), and Aix market (Saturday mornings). Chateau Barben with its extensive zoo is just a 20 mins drive). There are also a wide range of vineyards in the local area (Côtes du Luberon, Coteaux d'Aix-en- Provence). Further north (50-60mins drive) are Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas and the sourhern Côtes de Rhone terroirs.

We really enjoyed our two week stay at Pont Royal Villa. Situated at a very nice vacation resort between Aix en Provence and Avignon, this place was great both for seeing different parts of Bouches-du-Rhone and Vaucluse regions of Provence, and for relaxation at the nice pools nearby. Our kids aged 1.5, 8 and 9 years old also enjoyed our vacation. The villa was well equiped and well kept, and we had very friendly contacts with the owner. I can definately recommend this place for a vacation in Provence! |

We got back from France at the weekend and I just wanted to write and thank you for renting your house at Pont Royale to to us. We had a super week there and enjoyed all the pools, riding, tennis etc - a great location and the weather was superb. Now trying to re-adjust to the UK's grey skies!
