We have just returned from a very relaxing 2 week stay at Pizzo Beach. We travelled with our 3 children ( aged16,14 and 10) and all had a great time. The location is easy to reach from the airport - just 15 minutes. The apartment has everything you need for a relaxing family holiday from DVDs and books to tennis raquets and table tennis bats. There are 2 pools - the one by the on-site restaurant has a water slide which the kids liked and the one nearer the apartment is very quiet and a relaxing place to be. Both are immaculately kept. The gym was well-used by our son and the table-tennis provided great evening entertainment. We ate in a few times and the kitchen is well equiped so this was easy but there are about 6 restaurants within 5 minutes drive offering good food. We also ate in Pizzo in the evening which is about 10 minutes further away. Really great place to stay.
Alison, delighted that you and your family enjoyed your holiday. We look forward to welcoming you and your family in the future. Many thanks Colin & Karen Molloy

"A wonderful long weekend"
it was just two girls needing a break mid September. Within ten mins we were transported from airport to apartment. which was beautiful clean and so modern, with everything you could need for a lovely time. The aircon was wonderfully cool after a day in the sun. Both pool and beach were no more than two mins walk. The beach is stunning with lovely white sand. No cooking for us. There's a nice restaurant and bar on site. Also Pizzo town is only ten minutes drive with many good restaurants. I Thought we were in heaven. Karen and Colin the owners was great to deal with answering all our questions promptly. Thanks guys well be back
Ciara, thanks for your comments and we look forward to welcoming you back. As the sign on the door says, "Cead mile failte - 100,000 welcomes". Colin & Karen

"What a Wonderful Stay for all."
We were husband and wife, 18 year old son and 21 year old daughter. What a wonderful holiday we all had from the moment we arrived to that last sad day we had to leave. The apartment was just perfect for the four of us,two bedrooms and two bathrooms lovely aircon and plenty of space in and outside the apartment. We ate in side a few times in the lovely kithen diner as it had all the equipment you need. It was nice sitting outside in the front garden eating and drinking on the lovely terrace furniture watching the son go down.We liked the fact that the apartment is very close to the entrance which leads to the wonderful beach. Also the gorgeous swimming pool was all of two minutes walk.Collin the owner was a pleasure to communicate with from start to finish. We received our deposit back just as we got back home. Pizzo is bang in the middle of everything and so i would suggest a car to enjoy the wonderful area of Calabria. Thanks for everything Colin, and we will be back.
Keith & Tracy, thank you for your kind review and we are delighted you enjoyed your stay in our apartment. Looking forward to seeing you again. Colin & Karen

"Two weeks in paradise!"
It was with great anticipation we arrived at Pizzo Beach Club 28 July 2012 for two weeks at this excellent location. Great anticipation because our contact with Mr. And Mrs. Molloy had been excellent, all our enquiries had been promptly answered and all the practical “stuff” concerning finding and renting holiday property on the internet seemed like just that...simple “stuff”. As we arrived outside office hours, the Molloys had organised a meeting with someone “local”, from Pizzo Beach Club, in order to hand over keys and key cards, and to give us an introduction to the apartment. This all went smoothly, and after a long and warm drive from Sicily, it was very nice to find a chilled bottle of prosecco in the fridge ...one these small gestures which really makes a difference. The apartment is modern and bears all the signs of exactly that. Nice bathrooms, nice and practical kitchen, and the terrace is perfect for chilling out in the evening after long days in the sun. We are a family of two adults and 5 children between 9 and 12 years. We were not crowded, and the apartment was well fitted for all of us. The club itself is quite big. The two swimming pools, as well as the soccer and tennis fields, are great attributes to the club, together with the 10mins walk to the beach. We tried the club’s restaurant one evening, and it has decent food. Families with children will experience from time to time the need for a doctor during the vacation...you know, the occasional earache, sinusitis, etc. With assistance from the reception, we called on a doctor twice...a great and capable personality, who even brought his home-grown figs the second time he came around. As for the neighbourhood, you should really visit the ice-cream parlour a couple of hundred meters down the S181 towards Pizzo, down to the right. Great ice-cream, great company, and these brothers will tell you all the stories that are to be told about Calabria...it sure helps speaking a bit Italian, though. If you pass by, say hello from the Norwegians. As for the area, it’s great. You should visit beautiful Pizzo and have your dinners on the Piazza at sunset (or later), you should take the short drive up the hills to Filadelfia to have ice-cream and pastries and coffee. You should enjoy a couple of days at the beach in Zambrone. You must go several times to Tropea with its spectacular views and beach. You should visit Reggio Calabria with its esplanade. You should look for Stromboli each time you drive along the costal roads, you should have the pizzas, fresh pasta, the mussels, the....just enjoy your time and make a lot of visits! We had a great time in Pizzo Beach Club and in Calabria, and we can highly recommend both this particular apartment, and the Molloys as providers of your couple of weeks in paradise.
Gisle, many thanks for your kind words and we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay at Pizzo Beach Club. Colin & Karen
