About the home

Windy Ridge Villa is situated in a tranquil setting on a hill with panoramic views of the coast and surrounding countryside and yet is just a 20 minutes drive away from the larger resorts of Paphos and Limassol. For the golfer, the first class courses at Aphrodite Hills, Elea and Secret Valley are just 15 minutes away. Aphrodite Hills also offers a tennis academy and a fabulous spa.

Windy Ridge is located just a few minutes’ walk from Pissouri, a small traditional Cypriot village, offering a variety of excellent restaurants, and where the locals will make you extremely welcome. The villa is ideal for families, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.

The villa benefits from its own private L-shaped pool, with a shallow end perfect for children. The villa has an open plan layout downstairs, with a living room, dining room, kitchen and W/C, and fourth double bedroom. Two patio doors lead onto the covered terrace area, furnished with table, chairs and BBQ to enable you to dine al fresco. From here steps lead down to the pool and garden area which can be lit up at night.

Upstairs you will find a Master double bedroom with en suite and large balcony, a second double bedroom with private balcony, a twin bedroom with balcony and a family bathroom.

The Limassol region

Cyprus is a country that blends European culture with ancient enchantment. Here you will discover a compact world of alluring beaches and fragrant mountain peaks, vineyards studded with olive trees and ancient ruins that stir the imagination, along with citrus groves and old stone villages such as Pissouri. Away from the dazzling beaches and resorts lies breathtaking scenery, undiscovered landscapes and rich culture.

Limassol is the centre of Cyprus’ wine industry, with local wines harvested from the vineyards on the sides of the Troodos mountains. The city has an annual wine festival in September and a colourful carnival at the start of Lent. There is also plenty to see and do outside of the city, such as the ruined city of Amathus and Akrotiri Salt Lake, which is home to thousands of flamingos during the winter.

The Pissouri / Pissouri Village area

Pissouri Village is one of Cyprus' best kept secrets. It is free from over commercialisation and retains its traditional Cypriot charm. The people are friendly and very welcoming. At the centre of the village is a cobbled square which is surrounded by many restaurants and tavernas. This is the focal point of Pissouri and midweek is host to Cyprus night where you can enjoy good food and drink followed by traditional Cypriot dancing. Pissouri also has an amphitheatre which during the summer months hosts music and dancing festivals. The dance festivals often continue in the village square where everyone can join in way into the small hours.

Pissouri Bay is approximately 1.5 km away and is a quiet unspoilt beach where you can relax or maybe try sailing, windsurfing, kite-surfing, water ski-ing, diving, etc. You could also choose to be pampered at The Colombia spa.

Pissouri is situated 15 minutes from Paphos airport and 75 minutes from Larnaca aipport.

Motorways on Cyprus link all major cities. From Paphos airport follow signs to the motorway and head towards Limassol. Pissouri is signposted off motorway after approximately 15 km.

From Larnaca airport follow signs to motorway and head towards Limassol, go through Limassol and stay on motorway, follow signs to Paphos until after about 30 km when Pissouri will be signposted.

The villa is situated 400 metres from Pissouri village square on the road to the beach providing easy access to both.

Car hire is available at all airports, but if you hire a car from Xantis car hire in Pissouri they will arrange for you to be picked up from the airport. Xantis Car hire +357 25221010 or 25222425 or mobile +357 99683359 or by email xnicos@cytanet.com.cy. Nicos speaks very good English.

“Lovely clean, tidy, family feel Villa” Went to this Villa with friends and had a great holiday. The Villa was very spacious and clean, tidy. Lovely sized pool, and plenty of beds and chairs to relax around the pool, with great scenery. The bedrooms were great sizes, especially the ensuite!!! Bathrooms also clean and had everything you need. The village of Pissouri is a 15- 20 mins walk and has some great restaurants, but beware of the hill!!! Would definitely happy to go back again, lovely place.

“There is a reason I come back year after year - Windy Ridge is simply perfect!” We have stayed at Windy Ridge three times now and I have been coming to Pissouri for eighteen years. It is without doubt the most relaxing holiday I could wish for. The Villa is simply stunning. It is so well equiped and has something for all ages. The views are magnificant and there is always somewhere where you can catch the sun. My favourite time of day is dusk sitting on the terrace with a glass of Keo watching the moon rise up over Pissouri Bay. Both the village and the beach have a wide range of restaurants to choose from and the friendliest staff in Cyprus. If you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of restaurant 'strips' and prefer a quieter and more relaxed holiday, then Pissouri is definitely the best equiped village in Cyprus.

“Superb villa, stunning view.” Just spent 2 weeks at Windy Ridge with my family. The villa is really well equipped and comfortable. Large outside area for chilling and a good pool. There are stunning views from the villa and also due to its location a good breeze to make it comfortable sunbathing, even when the sun is at its hottest. Good location, 15 mins walk from Pissouri square with its pedestrian area with bars and restaurants. Uphill going there but at least its downhill coming back.

“Great time had by all with some great golf courses played during my stay” The villa has a great view's with valley's below and looking out towards the coast (about 2km away). The rooms are all excellent (double bed in 2 and twin the other) with plenty of space in each room and all with excellent views !! Downstairs there is also plenty of space for the family to spread out with sofa's & large armchairs TV and plenty of cooking amenties. Outside the views continue with a large area for sunbathing and a pool to cool down.Superb all round no one would be dissapointed if they stayed here !!

We found the villa to be perfect in every way - from the location to the views and from the accommodation to the CD collection! We lost all sense of time and found ourselves eating and sleeping when we wanted to and not when the clock suggested we should. We were amazed at how comprehensively the villa was equipped and often found ourselves saying "I bet they haven't got ....." and were soon declaring "yes they have!". We treated ourselves to either lunch or dinner at nearby restaurants and not once were we disappointed with the food, service or hospitality. We were even fortunate enough to experience a concert at the Pissouri Amphitheatre - an evening not to be missed!

Windy Ridge is a superb two-storey three-bedroom villa situated just minutes walk from the centre of the village of Pissouri and during our stay we wanted for absolutely nothing as the villa was a ‘home from home’.

We were very impressed by the high standard of the villa which is situated in an elevated position affording fantastic views of the surrounding countryside.

The breeze that flows across the property was a welcome tonic that helped us to keep cool in the hot temperatures.

Pissouri village has many amenities including a wide selection of tavernas and a couple of well-stocked supermarkets. The local butcher is a must if you are planning to use the BBQ at the villa.

We went for the week but didn’t want to come home. We had a fantastic holiday I we would thoroughly recommend this villa.

"Just a few words to describe our stay in Windy Ridge. A nice, cool and airy Villa with a great patio/pool and a fantastic view, ten days was simply not long enough. The Villa is situated between Pissouri village and Pissouri beach. The local area has no shortage of bars, restaurants and shops for provisions - including a butchers in Pissouri which looks more like a boutique. Great steaks for the barbecue!. Watch out for the birds of prey... "

"If you're looking for a holiday with fantastic views and superb accommodation look no further. The villa is very smart with all the facilities you would need, situated just a short walk from Pissouri village the villa looks down to the valleys below and the sea in the distance. The village has plenty of restaurants/bars with great food and the locals are very friendly.

Three great golf courses nearby are Aphrodite hills, Elea and Secret Valley, a must for all golf fans, if you have a holiday here you will not be disappointed."

"The Villa was far lovelier than expected; the pictures don’t do it justice. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable and provided the perfect retreat from the burning heat. The views were spectacular and all the local amenities and restaurants were easy to find.

The guide at the villa suggested visiting the Aphrodite Hills resort with its outstanding golf greens, it was really impressive. For those of you that don’t enjoy the great game, the spa at Aphrodite Hills comes highly recommended. You must try the 80-minute massage! (Especially if you have visited the water park and spent ages on the wave machine.) We couldn’t stop talking about the place for days.

We had a great holiday and would visit again in a heartbeat."

"The villa has every home comfort you could think of and all to an extremely high standard. Being able to watch the red arrows practising from the pool side was an added bonus. If you do decide to leave the villa during your stay then the local village is very quaint and friendly. The food at the restaurants recommended in the brochure in the villa are excellent. Nothing is too far away but having a car allowed us to visit some great places. A week just wasn't enough."
