'Da nonna' (at granny's) is part of the 'casetta degli angeli' (angel's house) which is located in a romantic park of 2 ha.(5 acres) on a historical site, that is named by the owners 'al settimo cielo' (in seventh heaven). Traces of the Etruscans who lived here 3000 years ago are stil around, and their caves on the premises remain in use, for example as communal kitchen.

The site is perfect for relaxing, reading, thinking, dwelling around, playing and cooking together. The site inspires your creativity in a compelling way. If you are not yet a fine arts practitioner, your career will start here! The owners will gladly provide you fine arts materials and, upon request, an art teacher, if available.
Price to be agreed in advance.

'Da nonna' lies in a sun protected area of the parc, which is an advantage in the hot summermonths. This does not mean that you cannot take a sunbath. You can choose sun or shadow in the apartment garden. Besides the entire parc is at disposal. If you prefer to put a deckchair at the pond, go ahead; do you prefer a more uphill spot, it is also o.k.

Stunning views of a fantastic landscape and some walls on the property consisting of 'sabbia di mare' (seasand) are the relics of the glacial period, when this area used to be sea. From the upper part of the property you can see the famous cathedral of Orvieto as a major object in the surrounding landscape. Besides you can see about 80 km's far!

On the site itself you will find a heavenly peace and quiet. Are you looking for more bustle and the activity of the city, many possibilities are at disposal.

Things to do:
Sightseeing & shopping, e.g. Orvieto, Città della Pieve, Todi, Parrano. Rome and Florence are 1 and 1,5 hrs away by train. The nearest shops and restaurants are at 4 km / 2.5 miles distance.
Bathing and swimming in two big lakes and several thermal baths in the vicinity.
Walking / hiking and biking.
Loads of art and culture. The owners will gladly take you to hidden places that you will not easily find on your own. Apart from admissions, pay us what our tour guide service is worth to you. If you prefer to go on your own, there are many small towns and villages nearby as well as Etruscan excavations, musea, churches, sculpture parks etc.

Owner's reply:
Hi Saskia en Hans, Many thanks for your nice review.
