Two of his selected beaches for 2015 are within a mile from the house, Delnor-Wiggins (ranked #9 )and Barefoot Beach (ranked #2). Both of these beaches are rated by Dr. Beach within the top 10 best Beaches within the USA.
Vanderbilt Beach and Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park boasts one of the most pristine stretch of beach in the world. Every day, this tropical beach paradise beckons visitors to partake in vast peaceful views of the Gulf of Mexico, and experience the many shorebirds and wildlife that gather here every year. Visitors arrive to this park to sunbathe, snorkel the reef, hike, bird-watch, fish, picnic, and search for seashells on a daily basis. There are specific areas designated for anglers to drop their lines in the northern areas of the park for trophy catches. Boaters will also find the launch area into Turkey Bay easily accessible for most vessels, in order to experience the delicate natural estuaries of the Cocohatchee River, leading out to the Gulf of Mexico. Guided tours on the beach occur on a regular basis by experienced rangers and volunteers. Kayakers can enjoy paddling through estuaries and scuba divers can explore the hard bottom reef in the Gulf.

Climate - Naples has a subtropical climate, with temperate and generally dry weather from the late fall through late spring and hotter and more humid weather in the summer through early fall with typical tropical thunderstorms in the late afternoon giving way to sunsets.
The best way to get around Naples is by car. Alternately, you can bike and make use of the extensive bike lanes.
Fishing - Naples has many experienced guides to help you catch that trophy. But if you want to explore on your own, there also are plenty of marinas and tackle shops for boat rentals, tackle and advice.
