"Dream Christmas in a beautiful chalet"
Our family planned long ago to spend Christmas somewhere in the mountains. We started to search for a suitable house, and for the first sight we knew this one is going to be what we need. But reality could still exceed all our dreams! The chalet was beautiful, with the big and convenient kitchen, comfortable rooms, and our favourite spot: the huge fireplace. From the rooms and the balcony we could just admire the wonderful Tatras. We had some unforgettable moments: the sky full of so many starts we've never seen before, the sun setting behind the snowy mountains, and the sleigh rides on Christmas day in the sparkling sun with some christmas music coming up from the little village in the background... Our hosts were so nice giving us a christmas tree and decorations, so we really didn't miss anything for the perfect Christmas holiday. Definitely we will return!

"the most romantic 5* chalet in Tatras; we loved the experience"
The chalet Borovo sits on the top of the hill in a small Slovakian village, so it benefits from great views and is located 2 hours’ drive from the Krakow airport. This is the most amazing property maintained at the highest standards by its owners; not only very beautiful rooms and bathrooms but exceptionally clean. We had a great time there as the chalet is within an easy reach from very picturesque mountain walks, for hikers of different levels and abilities. If you are into quality food, you will be impressed by the organic local produce (so cheap!!!), meat, fish (ask for the trout - the best I've ever eaten) or seasonal fruits and vegetables. In the summer/autumn season you can also pick your own blueberries and wild mushrooms in the nearby forest. For families with children, there are a couple of water parks in a short driving distance and plenty of places to see!. Highly recommended!!!

"My dream house in the mountains"
The chalet sits on the mountain side above the village of Male Borove, a charming, traditional, rural village in the Lower Tatras. From the large wooden terrace, you can enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding mountains and the valley. We were warmly welcomed by the owner, who showed us around his beautiful house before sitting down over coffee and giving us some ideas of things to do. The house is built of natural materials in a traditional style. It is incredibly spacious and has been tastefully decorated and furnished. The owners are understandably very proud of their chalet and when we arrived it was spotlessly clean. The kitchen is well appointed and we found everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable indeed. Our children loved the space, indoors and out, and the neighboring cow. They enjoyed walks to the local villiage, the high wire park and absolutely loved the thermal water park. We were fortunate to experience the Folk festival in Zuberec, but also loved the gorge walks, the outdoor museum and trip to Chopok. Mountain bike trails and white water rafting might appeal to the more adventurous but we will have to wait until the children are a little older to enjoy those activities. Our three children were all very taken with the chalet and we were all sad to leave. If you enjoy peace and quiet, are nature loving but like a little bit of luxury, Chalet Borovo will not disappoint. It is without reservation that we can recommend Chalet Borovo, but please keep it to yourself.

"Wonderful place for peaceful vacation"
We spend one of the best winter holidays in our life in this chalet. It is very cosy, full-equipped, clean and peaceful. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Thanks, no THANKS to Miroslav and Marketa - they answer all questios, give all necessary recommendations and help to make our holidays unforgatable. Our children were happy to play outside and inside. It is very safety place also. It is really difficult to say everything we feel about the chalet. It is very-very nice place and can only reccomend to visit it and to see it by your own eyes.

"Peaceful and relaxing beauty, with inspirational active input"
We found this spacious wooden cottage through internet, and it was not only great surprise, but much more over our expectations - beautifully build, designed place, very clean and warm, with stunning views of the Slovak mountains from the terrace, great walks and trips, evenings by the fire, quiet place...On the top of it we met two great people, young couple - owners Mr. and Mrs. Gajdos, which are very friendly, helpful and can help with anything you need - including professional active daily physical training or trip to the mountains, even great professional babysitting (Mrs.Gajdos) ...We highly recommend this place for the holiday to everyone, but especially to the people (or families) which would like to be away from noise, and appreciate stunning beautiful nature and warmly designed cottage. With optional active holiday...We loved it and our children too, and we will come back soon!

"Breathtaking nature, fun,amazing holidays!"
Wow, what a gorgeous and relaxing place to stay! My husband and I have just spent in Chalet Borovo wonderful 5 days. When we came to Borovo I couldn’t believe my eyes. The view was amazing. It was just sunset and to see the beautiful red-yellow sky behind the silhouette of slopes, you can not really describe it…you must see it :) We got very nice, clean and spacious room with an amazing view. The whole chalet is brand new but keeping the old tradition which makes very pleasant and familiar impression. The owner and his wife were soooo friendly and kind that you really feel like you are with your family members. They were always on hand to answer our many questions and helped us to plan our stay. The chalet is situated in small village, very calm and relaxing area. I would never believe there is still a place which can be so quite during the night…a real balm for my poor sleep. On the other hand it is close to many spas, biking and walking trails and ski resorts which we will definitely try in winter season. I would definitely recommend this place for active holiday, for people loving the nature, mountains, sport, fresh air or just to relax…

"the best winter holiday ever and one of the best celebrations of a new year!!!"
I spend there nice one week in the winter with my boyfriend. The position is excellent as it is surrounded by lots of great slopes where we enjoyed snowboarding that we love so much. The is also lots of those termal spas that is such a great relax after busy day or just a nice relax during the day. And the nature there is just awesome. You can see a lots of culture around as a typical old houses where we went too and it was just beautiful and our hosts also had a surprise for us and took us to this famous pig killing where we saw how is all this stuff done and finally we ate fresh products made from pig and I have to say I never ever ate anything better and we also had a typical Slovak drinks that would warm you even in the strongest winter :-) The place we stayed in isn't just situated well but it is very pleasant place to stay. It is all brand new built in wood and it just suits to the place where it is. The building itself is very nice and something what I would call my dream house :-) The views from the windows and balconies are awesome, I took hundreds pictures just from the windows, I just couldn't help myself :-) the place itself was very clean, very stylish and we felt there just like in a fairytale. Very nice and well furnished rooms, spacious and those beautiful views. I loved it!!! Our hosts were very kind, always smiling and making jokes, they simply made us feel as a part of family which was so great and we spent such a nice time with them too. They also showed us around, took us for some trips and if we needed anything they were there for us to help us. They also arranged one of the best celebrations of a New Year ever for us!!! It was in local lock house hotel and it was great and there was a typical Slovak music and delicious food and all great people around. I have to say I had such a great time and I will come again, will probably try summer too because there is such a lots of places hiking and other activities. I will recommend this place to everyone. You can come there anytime because there is lots to do in every part of the year. I will definitely come again. Thank you guys for such a nice holiday. Can't wait to see you again!!!
