About the home

The villa itself provides luxury accommodation including a magnificent large master bedroom with 4 poster bed and ensuite bathroom with its own large balcony offering lovely sea views over the bay. There are 2 twin bedrooms each with ensuite bathrooms and one additional double bedroom (without bathroom) offering flexible and spacious accommodation for families. The villa has been beautifully furnished throughout by a local interior designer and has air-conditioning in all bedrooms. There is 24 hour security and there is a 800 sq. ft swimming pool and garden with tropical plants.

Brightside Villa in Antigua offers you a home away from home but with the added benefits of your own private villa and pool combined with the facilities of a luxury hotel.

The villa has a large downstairs open plan spacious living area which comprises a kitchen, an air-conditioned dining area and a sitting area. The kitchen is equipped with an American Fridge freezer, oven, microwave, coffee machine and breakfast bar. The dining table seats 8 and the lounge area comprise a large L shaped sofa with Cable TV , DVD and i-pod stereo docking system. High speed wi-fi internet access is available in the villa and there is use of a mobile phone for local calls. There is also a separate downstairs cloakroom and a laundry room with a washer and separate tumble dryer. At the back of the villa and through the patio doors from the main living area there is also a spacious covered verandah which provides a large outdoor living area complete with barbecue and table and seating for 8 for outside dining which the Carribean climate allows all year round.


For families with young children, there is a cot, high chair and stair gate.


Bedrooms
The spacious master bedroom includes a 4 poster bed with a sitting area comprising a sofa bed if required for small children. There is also Cable TV and a working area with a computer desk and a his and hers walk-in closet. The en suite bathroom has a bath and shower. There are patio doors from the master bedroom leading to a large balcony with seating to enjoy the lovely views over Lawries Bay.


Upstairs there is also a twin bedroom with views towards Non-Such Bay and a custom made wardrobe unit and Cable TV with Play Station 2 and DVD player.


Downstairs there are two bedrooms either side of the living area, one twin and one double, both which have ensuite bathrooms with bath/shower and large walk-in closets. Each of these bedrooms has its own patio doors leading out onto the verandah at the back of the villa and to its pool beyond.


All bedrooms are air conditioned. We request that guest do not smoke in the villa.

Pool and Gardens
There is a 800 square foot pool with water feature and seating area allowing plenty of room for swimming and relaxing. The grass garden area is large enough to enjoy activities such as volleyball, football and cricket. The other areas are stocked with tropical plants including banana trees,coconut palms, bougainvillea, hibiscus and oleander.
The driveway has a basketball area and system with adjustable height for the net.

There is an also small backup generator and pump room.


Verandah Estates
Brightside is part of the Verandah Estates, a brand new, luxury, gated residential villa development in Antigua.


It has convenient, gated access directly off the main road leading to Long Bay Beach, with a 24-hour manned security gate and fully fenced perimeter to ensure safety and security for guests.


The Estates enjoy direct water access to the beautiful, reef-protected Lawrie's Bay and the community features a park area for gatherings and picnics.

The Antigua region

Brightside villa is set in a beautiful part of the island enjoying National Park surroundings with rolling hills and lush vegetation and within a leisurely stroll or bike ride from Devil's Bridge, one of Antigua's most beautiful eco-tourism destinations. The villa is also a few minutes walk from Long Bay, one of Antigua's most beautiful beaches protected by a reef and providing excellent swimming and snorkelling.

Review Submitted July 30, 2011 Date of Stay July 22, 2011 I have just spent the most amazing week at Brightside Villa with my family. If you are looking for a peaceful vacation in a very comfortable villa, I would thoroughly recommend Brightside. It is extremely well-equipped with four huge bedrooms, three bathrooms and a very spacious open plan living/kitchen area making it ideal for two families or a large group of friends. The pool is delightful and well maintained. This villa is luxurious without being ostentatious and very safe for young children as the terrace is completely fenced where children can play safely away from the pool. There is a stunning beach within a ten minute walk where there are two great restaurants. The Verandah Hotel and Spa is also just a few minutes walk along the road where you can enjoy several facilities including tennis, volley ball, mini golf and two further beaches at no extra cost. I would recommend hiring a car for a few days to explore Nelson's Dockyard, English Harbour, Shirley Heights to watch the sunset and the charming capital, St. Johns to name just a few delightful places on this beautiful island. We have all had a wonderful vacation and hope to return in the future to this wonderful villa on such a pretty island. Rating:

Review Submitted August 4, 2011 Date of Stay July 10, 2011 By any standards Brightside is a stunning villa. It is beautifully decorated and everything is finished to a very high standard. The view from the master bedroom will take your breath away. The pool was clean and perfectly positioned with plenty of sunbeds and other seating. The shady verandah area complete with air conditioning - perfect for outdoor dining. The kitchen is very spacious with everything you need, ideal for larger families/groups of friends. With the Verandah Hotel just 7 minutes walk from the villa we had access to all the facilities we could possibly need including the volleyball court, beach, pool and tennis courts. The villa is also ideally located within short taxi distance of tourist destinations and resturants such as Shirley Heights where we enjoyed the caribbean spirit with spectacular views of English Harbour and St John's, the capital, for a little retail therapy. Would reccomend this property to all my friends and relatives. Would suit small families or large groups of friends as there is plenty for everyone to do within walking distance or by short taxi. Overall, a really great holiday with everything to hand and a villa with loads of space, amazing weather and perfect location. What more could you want?! Rating:

The villa was tastefully decorated and much bigger than we expected, the pool was amazing and the general quality exceeded our expectations massively. It is in a secluded area meaning it was quieter than the general hub of the hotel. But with the Verandah Hotel (a very nice 4 star hotel) only a short walk from the house, 2 beaches including the beautiful Long Bay in very close proximity there was never a boring moment. I urge any future users to take advantage of the free use of facilities at the verandah hotel, in particular the tennis courts, volleyball courts and new crazy golf course close to Brightside Villa. There is an adjustable high quality basket ball net (with makeshift court) and of course the swimming pool that is on the private property as well, meaning that there is never a dull moment for those (like me) interested in different sports. It was a great holiday and combined relaxation with action to a perfect degree. My family and I thouroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly be coming back! Rating:

The Villa was beautiful, great views and an amazing location to be so close to the Verandah and Long Bay. Was so comfortable and the whole family felt at home. Very modern, spacious and the pool was incredible, with everything maintained and kept so clean. Had so much to do from volleyball and kayaking, to going to St Johns Harbour with boat trips around Antigua. A trip to Shirley Heights is highly recommended. I cannot thank you enough for the most wonderful holiday. Thank you so much for the experience and i will definitely be coming again. Rating:

kirk - Date of Stay June 4, 2011 1) We really enjoyed the house and pool. 2) Resort was nice and people were very friendly. 3) Loved the zip line tour. 4) Enjoyed the basketball goal. 5) We did a sailing, kayaking and snorkeling tour that we would recommend. 6) The AC units were awesome and also loved having cable. We got to watch 3 of the NBA Final games while we were there. 7) We liked Long Bay Beach and it was only a short walk. Very nice beach and the water was very clear so we could snorkel.

The space was just what we needed! It was very relaxing and lovely views. We enjoyed our walk to the Verandah. we had a great time and if we come back to Antigua, we will definitely book your place again! Your neighbor was very friendly as was the poolman, and our taxi driver!
