Home description
This south facing property is situated in Pueblo Albero, a small urbanisation of just 14 properties around a large pool with shallow children's section. Pueblo Albero was one of the first holiday locations to be built in La Zenia and consequently, unless you rent a flat or expensive individual villa, is as close as you will get to the sea in this pretty little coastal town. Both bedrooms, the lounge and both patios all look on to the pool. If you fancy the 8 minute stroll to the beach, it will be a peaceful one past the Jasmine and Bougainvillaea that adorn the area. This is a fabulous location to spend an effortless couple of weeks or just a few days. It is the perfect blend of peace and availability of necessary facilities. This air conditioned property is in a genuinely prime location - and it faces south! (As at June 2009, of the 12 parties visiting June - Oct this year, 8 had been before. (excluding ourselves!).

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The area boasts all normal attractions within close proximity to the property. Taxis and buses are within a 5 minute walk. Within half hour's drive are Murcia and Cartagena, towns offering much cultural and historic interest. Mainly, however, the attraction of the region has to be the beaches. If you like sandy bays, this is the area. The 8 minute walk from the villa to La Zenia beach is pleasant and does not involve crossing a main road.
La Zenia area
The property is in a quiet area though only a three minute stroll to supermarket, watering holes (including the best Irish bar in the area with live music), and classy gift shop. La Zenia beach (combed daily) and the nearest market are within a ten minute walk. The 'Orihuela Country Club' is 4 minutes walk away. Entrance is free and is a must! Vast grassy areas surround one of the biggest pools you have seen. Reasonably priced refreshments are available. It's a great place for lounging around without getting sand between the toes. Within a ten minute car journey of the property are water park, go kart track and bustling shopping centres. Torrevieja offers a market every evening near the waterfront , and in the summer that market is accompanied by a fair.
How to get there
Though Alicante is still the favourite airport for visitors to La Zenia, Murcia is worthy of careful consideration. It's half the distance from La Zenia and the airport itself is quicker to get through. If flying from Gatwick, Easyjet and Monarch are extremely popular.

About that 'Rain' condition
I wouldn't blame you for being sceptical. 'How can we prove it rained'? 'How do we know they'll pay'? We did this last year. We paid about £70 back. It's not in our interest to con you. We want you to come back! We all know it can rain in Spain, but it's far more likely not to. So we don't think we're gambling too much. Not that we would take your word for it (with greatest respect). We'd ask our caretaker who lives locally. We hope to hear from you. Chris and Dave

Guestbook for Pueblo Albero
We really enjoyed our stay. The villa is exceptionally clean and well maintained and has everything you could need for self catering - Joff and Charlotte - Plymouth - November 2008.
This property is in an ideal location if you don't want to drive. The house had everything you could want for your holiday including hair dryer, beach toys, cool box and chairs for the beach. CMCL - Cork - April 2009.
My second visit to Pueblo Albero and anotherr faultless stay. Thank you again for a fantastic relaxing holiday. I can't wait to go back in September - Laura and Naomi - West Sussex - May 2009.
This was my second stay at La Zenia and my boyfriend's first. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and didn't want to go home. As we went in June, it was very quiet and we often got the pool to ourselves. We had everything we needed and the balcony was lovely. - Laura and Matt - Surrey - June 2009.
A lovely property in a quiet location. Despite going at the height of the season, it did not feel too busy in the pool or in the town. The villa was beautifully clean, very well equipped and well maintained. We all enjoyed our stay in La Zenia very much. That includes my 83 year old Mum who swam in the warm pool every day, and two teenage girls who divided their time between the pool and the sea. Becka - Shropshire - August 2009.
