About the home

This delightful third floor apartment is in a small, exclusive complex, Mont Salonica, no more than a five minute walk to the beautiful sandy beach - the Arenal. It has an extremely large and totally private sun terrace occupying the entire roof-top level, and wonderful panoramic views over the valley and low-lying hills, and towards Javea’s impressive Mount Montgo.

In the apartment itself the spacious lounge and dining areas are elegantly furnished and air conditioned, and there is a large and conveniently-placed American kitchen. The bedrooms and bathrooms are on the same level, two of the bedrooms having the same superb views as the living room and sun terrace.

About one minute’s walk from the apartments is the rocky sea frontage - excellent for snorkelling, scuba diving and fishing - and at the nearby Arenal family beach there is safe bathing, beach and water sports, and a wide promenade with a wonderful array of bars, restaurants and shops. A five-minute stroll will take you to the nearest large supermarket. The attractive port and historic old town of Jávea are about 2 km away, and there are two excellent golf courses within a 20-minute radius

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

The charming town of Javea (or Xabia in Valenciano) lies between the Capes of San Antonio and La Nao, on the northern section of the Costa Blanca.

Bathed by the Mediterranean Sea, and sheltered from the continental winds by Mount Montgo, it is no wonder that the World Health Organization once selected Javea as having a near-perfect climate for longevity! With it's mild year-round temperatures, varying landscapes - from sandy coastlines to rugged mountain areas - and extensive tourist facilities, Javea has still managed to preserve all the charm of an ancient fishing village, and is truly the jewel in the crown of Spain's coastal communities.

The Javea / Arenal area

The old town of Javea has several historical buildings set along narrow winding streets that all seem to lead to the church and market square at the centre. Several times a year the town bursts into life with the colour and noise of a Fiesta, often including bull-running through the streets, and fireworks.

The port area is home to a local fishing fleet and a modern marina. Over the years it has also evolved into a trendy lunch and dinner destination with its waterfront restaurants and cafe bars. Dominating the fishing port is the modern silhouette of the Church of Nuestra Señora de Loreto, with it's awe-inspiring roof imitating a ship's hull.

At the wide Blue Flag sandy beach, called the Arenal, is another excellent choice of boutiques, cafes, bars and restaurants, and there are also a couple of nightclubs here.

The area enjoys over 300 days of sunshine a year and, with little or no package holiday business or high-rise buildings, it is one of the finest holiday rental areas in Europe.
