About the home

Paradise Nature benefits from a very exceptional environment surrounded by a large, wonderful garden overlooking a private wood. Totally south located, the house is a dream of light tempered by the shadow of the wood when you want to rest peacefully, to swim in the luxury heated swimming pool, to share outside meals around the large outside teck table with 12 seats, barbecue and plancha.

The living room area of 70m2 furnished with elegance leads to a kitchen totally equipped and a dining room for 12 people, a video room with specific surround sound waits for you to be comfortably settled in the large leather armchairs...

But when wanting to join French civilisation you are close to sand beaches with a brand new sailing school and a very nice children's club ("Réspir"), tennis courts, daily shops, horse riding, market, bike hire, restaurants (all a few minutes walk) like "la Chaloupe" very up-to-date with music and good seafood overlooking the sea, or the "Auberge de la marée" totally renewed in January 2008 compliments the Ile de Ré scenery are a few minutes by foot from the house.

The village has its own produce market, offering high quality fresh fish and locally farmed oysters, cheese and delicious patisserie.

The Poitou-Charentes / Vendee / Charente Maritime region

Nearby la Rochelle which is a beautiful historical town with its famous harbour, you can visit some museums, the famous Aquarium (the first in Europe!), have a walk in the historical centre and along the harbour boarded with nice cafés, very good restaurants. In July, the famous festival of music: the francofolies takes place, in September the boat show.

Fort Boyard, events like Sites en Scène, the Festival du cinéma and of course the starting from la Rochelle of many international sailing events contribute daily to the Heritage and Vitality of the region "Charente Maritime" .

The Ile de Re / Rivedoux Plage area

Rivedoux is a very old oyster fishing village which is being totally renovated with a very typical and lovely centre village. Being in Rivedoux is also the best compromise between the continent for French Culture and the charming way of living on the Ile de Ré.The best way to enjoy the island is on bike . St Martin (Capital of Ile de Ré) is just a 30 min ride away and most of the island can be explored this way without use of a car. The cosmopolitan town of La Rochelle is only a 15 minutes drive away, adding many possible activities and visits to your stay.
