The Valenciana region
The Costa Blanca brings to mind images of idyllic beaches and coves in the Region of Valencia. However, the Costa Blanca also offers many other attractions that provide a careful blend of modernity and tradition. There is an ideal climate in which to relax. Further inland, nestled among beautiful landscapes, towns such as Guadalest and Alcoi offer a rich artistic and cultural heritage. Discover the popular fiestas and celebrations, delicious Mediterranean cuisine, art, modernity and countless activities and events that will not fail to impress you.
History, Wildlife and Culture: Explore the Guadalest valley, there is lots to do: exciting fiestas throughout the year; ruined castles, and many beautiful and historic villages.
During the summer months you can while away the hours at one of the local pools, spectacularly situated amidst amazing rock and mountain scenery. Also the local canyon provides excellent swimming in smooth rock pools.
Road Cycling and Mountain Biking: Imagine riding amongst spectacular peaks on great tracks or roads. We can supply self guided or fully guided biking holidays. You could even follow the route of the Tour of Spain that passes through the area most years.
We have Mountain Bikes to rent
You will find the village a very peaceful and relaxing holiday base. It has only 100 residents (you will find them very welcoming), yet it has two restaurants. You can also buy local produce from the many travelling shops that visit the village. Enjoy spectacular scenery from the large roof terraces.

We were in late september at Abdet with 2 children (6, 7 yr). Weather was excellent. The house is fully furnished, comfortable and quiet and has a fantastic terrace with stunning mountain view. If anyone want to enjoy wonderful nature, beach and big cities (Alicante, Benidorm, Altea) at the same time during holiday, so Abdet, a peaceful, tiny village is a perfect base to discover this exciting region. We enjoyed very much our 9-day-long holiday there and we think of quick returning.

"Great location with fantastic views also lots to see in the area within 40 min radius.."
Fantastic old townhouse in a lovely quiet Spanish Village, great for walking , also Climbing & Cycling not the we did but wish we did . It was also very well equipped i was really surprised how well everything you will need it has. The views from the top terrace are stunning it was March when we stayed it was nice weather but in the Summer this is a terrace that you could sit all day & take in the views.

"excellent location to enjoy rural spain.."
the location was perfect for us and our passion for cycling.. the roads were so quiet and with no potholes! the village location made for relaxing after a hard day of cycling whether it be on the roof terrace soaking up the sun or in the lounge curled up on the sofas. the villas are so unique split on various levels with bags of character.. the village was small but had a local bar which was great, the drinks were very cheap and the measures were very large! with several villages close to abdet with other cafes and various other shops it meant you were able to get food and drink whenever needed without going to far.. For me the best thing about this hol is the location and the roads it made for perfect cycling.

"A fantastic base for wonderful road cycling"
Slightly off the main beaten track, but easily accessible, with fantastic views down the valley, the house was a great place from which to cycle. The surrounding terrain made for wonderful road trips - smooth tarmac, lovely climate, challenging hills. Coming back at the end of a hard day's ride to relax admiring the wonderful views from the roof terrace was quite idyllic.

"Great base for a walking holiday"
The property was easy to find with the directions we were sent, and although nobody met us at the house when we arrived, we gained access with ease, and found the house in a clean and tidy state. The house was ideal for our needs (although more bedrooms than we required!), and had a nice rooftop terrace. For a walking/biking holiday, the location was perfect, and we found lots of guidebooks at the house which helped us plan out our week. The house also had bikes to borrow if we had wanted, although we ended up walking, since it all looked a bit too steep for cycling! In terms of the local amenities we had a couple of really excellent lunchtime meals and tapas in nearby villages. Disappointingly, we found that all the local restaurants seemed to close in the evening (this may have been due to the low tourist season in March??) In summary, we would recommend this accommodation as a really good base for a walking holiday and represented good value for money.
Glad you enjoyed your stay. Many traditional Spanish restaurants open just in the afternoon, but if you ask in advance they will open for you in the evening as long as you tell them your are coming. Bar Mari will allow you to order in advance. Monday evening most restaurants will shut.

"Great Location in Spanish Village"
Excellent base for walking and climbing. Very cold during our stay; snowed two days. Wood pellet stove and radiators kept house nice and warm. Very cosy at night.
Glad you enjoyed another stay with us and that the new heaters worked well for you. That week was one of the coldest Europe has had for many weeks and as you know in the Costa Blanca it is very unusual for it to get that cold!
