About the home

Hello,

Welcome to our lovely apartment in the beautiful seaside town of El Campello. Our comfortable, spacious apartment has been decorated and furnished to a high quality and is very well equipped. We have tried to think of everything to make this a real home from home and make your stay special. We even provide a free generous welcome pack so you do not have to go shopping as soon as you arrive.

Our apartment has 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and a lounge/dining room which leads on to a small balistrade balcony. Leading off from the master bedroom is your own small private courtyard area.

Although there is no smoking within the apartment you are welcome to smoke on the balcony or in the private courtyard area.

Children are very welcome, they love being so close to the beach and it makes life simple for you too!

The apartment is situated immediately behind the beach front properties, lovely and close to the beach and sea view restaurants but just far enough away to be tranquil when you want peace and quiet. As we are in a no through road there is no street noise. Just perfect for holidays or longer stays!

In just a few steps you are on the promenade, with it's family friendly bars and restaurants, many of which are open year round, and the Marina is just a little further. There are many family orientated attractions in the area.

Golfers are spoilt by a choice of several golf courses within easy reach. The Bodega around the corner is paradise for Wine Connoisseurs and pretty amazing for the rest of us! The mountains nearby are perfect for walkers or you can even go paragliding. Those of you interested in history will be fascinated by the many castles and monuments in the area.

Many of the sea front bars now have free secure Wifi. You can take your own laptop, get a beer and surf the net whilst the family surf the waves.

You can hire bicycles locally, go quad biking or scuba diving from El Campello. Night-owls can experience the lively night life in Alicante and Benidorm (easily reached by train) then come back to the more relaxed atmosphere in El Campello, a holiday perfect for all.

The lounge has a comfortable seating area with a DVD/CD player, video player, amplified speakers for connecting your MP3 player, and the Satellite television picks up Skynews, BBC News, Radios 1, 2, 3 and 4 plus various film, music and children's channels. There are games, books and videos. For your convenience we supply a 4 way british extension block so you don't need to bring your adaptors.

The dining area comfortably seats 6. We have installed good quality hot and cold air conditioning for the lounge/dining room area.

The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped including a full size Dishwater. We have a large shopping trolley to save you carrying your shopping and a cool box to take to the beach.

The balcony has a cafe table with chairs.

The master bedroom has a king-size bed with en suite bathroom, good quality hot and cold air conditioning and a door leading to your own small private courtyard. American style fly screen door to keep out any unwanted little visitors.

The courtyard has a table and chairs and a drying area.

There are also 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom and a spacious family bathroom. Both bedrooms and bathroom have fly screens at the windows. Both bathrooms have a bath with shower over. All rooms are fitted with ceiling fans.

We have a full size traditional cot and a travel cot available on request.

This is a small apartment block with just 8 apartments, ours is on the first floor. There are six steps to climb to reach the lift.

For your safety we have two smoke detectors fitted and a fire extinguisher.

A generous welcome pack is included in the price so you don't have to worry about shopping straight away.
Bed linen and towels for use within the apartment are provided.
We strongly advise you to have travel insurance.
Please note that checkout time is 12.00 a.m. and arrival time 4.00 p.m. We are flexible on this bookings permitting.

Conditions

A £140 non refundable deposit will secure your booking. For bookings in the high season or for a month or more we would like a £200 non refundable deposit.
Balance to be paid 6 weeks before the date of your arrival.
A refundable breakage deposit of £100 is required from which any damage or breakages will be deducted (if applicable) before refunding to you. This should be given in cash immediately upon your arrival so that we can return it to you immediately on your departure.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

A car is not necessary as the bus stop is nearby to take you sightseeing in Alicante and less than 10 minutes walk away is the Trenet Railway Station from where you can catch the coastal train. This will take you south to Playa Muchavista (another beautiful sandy beach), Playa San Juan and Alicante, or North to Villajoyosa (traditional coloured houses), Altea (Tuesday Market), Benidorm (Terra Mitica Theme Park , Terra Natura Animal & Water Park, Aqualandia Water Park, Nightclubs, etc), Denia, etc. In the high season the night train runs throughout the night.

If you do hire a car then you can visit a huge variety of interesting areas. Guadalest with its castle, medieval buildings and spectacular views, Font de Algar waterfalls, the Science Park in Valencia, Cathederal in Murcia, the Palm Forest of Elche, castle of La Mola in Novelda, castles in Sax, Castilla, Villena, Chocolate Museum in Villajoyosa, Caves near Busot , plus much much more

The El Campello area

El Campello is a typical Spanish seaside town with many seaview restaurants, ice cream parlours and bars. It has a beautiful esplanade to stroll along and a marina where you can buy freshly caught fish. The long sandy beach is perfect for cultivating that tan and with plenty of room for ball games.

Also in close proximity to the apartment is a supermarket, a bodega (wine cellar) and many other small shops. Internet and telephone booths are less than a 2 minute stroll.

You can watch the fishing boats coming in at the Marina and buy the fish fresh from the market alongside late afternoon. Also overlooking the Marina is The Watch Tower, built in 1554 to defend the inhabitants from raids by the Barbary pirates and there is an archaeological site 3,500 years old.

On 16th July the sailors pay their respects to their patron saint la Virgen del Carmen with a well-loved maritime procession and fireworks. Between 9th October and 15th October there are Moors and Christians Festivals, very noisy but great fun. Throughout the high season there are many open air entertainments, free to all.

In the high season you can catch the glass bottom boat to Tabarca Island and have a fantastic fish lunch, explore the village, take a stroll around the island, or just sunbathe. A ferry also runs North to Benidorm or South to Alicante.

Alicante Airport is 25 mins away by taxi/car.

There are many car hire companies situated at the airport although once in El Campello a car is not necessary as there are good bus and train services within easy walking distance of the apartment.
Taxis are easily available from the airport and cost 40E to transfer you to our apartment .

Alicante Airport is a popular international airport used by budget ( Easyjet, Ryanair, Monarch) and schedule airlines.
Murcia Airport and Valencia Airport are both approximately 1 1/2 hours away by car.

“Fantastic apartment” I would recommend this apartment to anyone visiting El Campello, the location and facilities are superb and Barry and Sue are a great couple who are willing to help make your holiday special. El Campello is a lovely town and this apartment is ideally placed to enjoy all that is good about a fantastic holiday. Look forward to visiting again in the near future. Thank you for a great time.

“Ideal Holiday Apartment in Ideal Position owned by obliging couple.” We have used different apartments for our stay in El Campello over the past 25 years and Sue and Barry's apartment is at the top of the list. For amenities, everything is on your doorstep. Ten minutes on foot and you will be able to obtain all of life's necessities from the local shops. The stunning sandy beach, restaurants and prom is less than 100m away. The apartment is large enough for most families and has all the home comforts and equipment you could possibly want. Like everyone we found the Welcome Pack as comprehensive and useful as you could wish for. Many thanks Sue & Barry for a super holiday in a super apartment.

“Forget the package holiday this is bliss.” This is an area which I love to return to at all times of the year.Sun in the summer,fun in the winter and a whole lot more inbetween. I found Macarena in Campello by accident last year. I am returning for a month this year. Some of the time with my family including granddaughters and some with my friends. In all our ages are between 14 and 73. I am confident that we will all have a brilliant time and can't wait for the school holidays to begin. The rental rates for this time of the year are fantastic. I just hope that this review doesn't limit my choice of dates for next year too much, I havent booked yet but I will. Okay, Spain is not as cheap as it was 5/6 years ago but a meal with wine and three super courses is stll no more than fish and chips in a local chippie or a meal in a Turkish kebap shop. Thats why I will be in El Campello soon! (Oh to explain the "people with disabilities bit"-- There is a lift and just about 4 steps to the apartment my daughter has M.S. and as she can manage a few steps I have ticked "yes" for disabilities. The bathroom will easily accomodate a wheel chair. )

“Living in Spain !” We wanted a place in Spain to go for a month to actually "Live" there. Eat the food, drink the wine and meet the people. This apartment was ideal! You were half a block from the beach, and we could hear the Ocean from the Balcony. A short walk down the beachfront boardwalk took us to a lovely little bakery to pick up bread or sweets for my coffee every morning. There were at least 5 grocery stores within walking distance with anything we needed, and one was only two blocks away. You did not even need a car (A plus for us) because there is a great modern tram running up and down the coast. Inexpensive comfortable and convenient. The apartment is in the older historic part of town in contrast to modern high-rise style buildings, yet we had every modern convenience, in a well maintained and tastefully decorated home. Although the apartment has only one window with a view out to the street from the balcony, the convenient centre courtyard allowed light and fresh air into every room. We loved sitting out on the balcony with a glass of the excellent Spanish wine watching the life of the town go by on the street below. . The apartment was really FULLY equipped. The welcome pack meant you didn't have to run out to get things right away. We moved in and made lunch. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a nice new dishwasher and a washer off the kitchen. The bedrooms were large and comfortable and the two bathrooms meant when you had guests they even had their own bathroom. This apartment was everything we expected and wanted for our vacation in Spain. It really exceeded our expectations in every category.

Myself and 4 other girl friends thoroughly enjoyed our week spent in El Campello, the apartment and welcome pack was lovely and the beach was beautiful and not too crowded. There were plenty of places for us to eat and drink in El Campello and for a bigger nights out we caught the tram to Alicante and Benidorm, both are open throughout the night and have endless clubs and bars for all tastes. The locals were friendly and it was not too touristy just right for us. With enough nightlife, sun and sand to make us not want to go home!
