About this location
The Champagne-Ardenne region
The North East of France is a mix of different influences and cultures. Conveniently close to British ferry ports, the north coast offers dramatic chalk cliffs and quiet seaside resorts. It is a peaceful region, steeped in history from the medieval wonder of Amiens Cathedral to memorials for the soldiers who fought here in World War One. On the cobbled streets of the Nord Picardie region, which borders on Belgium and boasts the ancient cities of Lille and Arras, you can sample the region’s hearty stews and delicious fresh seafood as well as the local Flemish beers.
The famous Champagne-Ardennes region offers an array of outdoor activities such as hiking, horse-riding and watersports as well as a rich and varied landscape. The Alsace-Lorraine area has a distinctively Germanic feel, with historic cities such as Nancy and Metz and the European hub of Strasbourg. You can also enjoy the tranquil beauty of the Moselle and Meuse Valleys and the forests of the Vosges Mountains, where there is excellent skiing in winter. The area’s rolling vineyards produce world-renowned wines and local cuisine offers more delights than an authentic quiche lorraine.

"Lovely, stylish and clean holiday gite"
We stayed here in the October half term and wanted to hire a house that we would enjoy spending time inside of in case of bad weather. As it turned out it was unseasonably warm and no rain! This was a… More

"A very stylish and comfortable house very convenient for visiting the Champagne area"
We chose this property because of its stylish décor and the fact that it is situated in a small town with restaurants close by. We were not disappointed. Isabelle has thought of everything to make a visitor's stay comfortable. Her house is beautifully decorated, clean and with every attention to detail, including fresh flowers and a bottle of champagne in the fridge. There are several restaurants in the town although do check with Isabelle because opening times vary - she booked ahead for us and could not have been more helpful. There are also bakeries, a butcher's shop and greengrocers as well as a large supermarket all within easy walking distance. The house is right on the main street in the town centre so there is traffic passing by but we wanted the convenience of being able to walk easily to go out in the evening. The house also has parking and a lovely quiet garden with outside furniture. We would certainly return and recommend this house.

Lovely house and a lovely owner for whom nothing was too much trouble. But 'the elephant in the room' is the very busy road on which the house is located. The traffic started at 6am, or a bit… More

"First class holiday accommodation"
We have just spent a week in this wonderfully furnished and comfortable accommodation. The house provided everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The beds were extremely comfortable and the towels and linen were really first class. The kitchen has every possible utensil you could need, and cooking is made more enjoyable because of the available herbs in the garden. The décor was designed with the utmost attention to detail and we found the whole experience very relaxing. Isabelle made us feel very welcome and was available to answer any queries we had. We have taken many holidays in France and this accommodation is certainly the best we have ever stayed in.
