The Croft combines a great location with comfort and friendly welcoming hosts. We had a truly relaxing and peaceful stay. Highly recommended.

"Just the lovely cows for company"
Very nice welcome from the Pedreschis who live next door to the pretty cottage, which is totally quiet and very restful. The garden is gorgeous and it was lovely to eat out in, although it would be nice to have more garden furniture to relax on (only one sun bed - no cushions). Bedroom very comfortable - shower cubicle in en suite VERY small - but owners say they will be addressing that. Despite being advertised, there was no internet connection which was very frustrating.
Hello Elizabeth and thank you for your review. In regard to the internet, we DO have internet but unfortunately the day before you arrived the area had an electical storm which downed all internet connection in our village, including ours. Being a rural area, repairs take longer than a large city and we were unable to hurry the process despite having an IT person come and check to make sure it was not a problem with just our internet. Not being able to provide internet to our guests is very disappointing for us as well but beyond our control when the whole area is disconnected.

"What a fantastically relaxing holiday!"
If you are looking for a really relaxing holiday then this is it! The cottage was very cosy and comfortable and had everything you need for a complete get away.We particularly loved the garden, the view from the back door and patio area was amazing! Tom and Christina were extremely welcoming and at hand to give advice about things to do in the area. The canoing centre nearby is great and we had a lot of fun both on and in the water! We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking to get away from it all!

"What an absolute gem!"
Our stay at 'The Croft' was quite simply wonderful!!!!!! Amazing place, amazing hosts; Tom and Christine were such fabulous hosts and we left with new friends - they were such lovely, kind people. We visited with our young family - it was so safe and we really experienced the true France!!! When we pulled up at 'THE CROFT' it was just as pictured but better!!!! Nothing was too much trouble and although 'The Croft' is in the most idyilic and peaceful setting ever (my husband wants to move there!!!) , you are still in easy reach of Poitiers and Limoges should you require a little more hustle and bustle. The nearby lake was also an added bonus; the children loved it! The French have soooooo got it right! Gorgeous picnic areas, great activities and so clean! Le Dorat and Montmorillion, the nearby smal towns were just beautiful; quaint and pictuesque. Will definitely return next year - one of the best holidays we have ever had!!! Thank you Tom and Chris!!!

"Totally relaxing and a fantastic way to recharge your batteries.."
We were looking for a beautiful secluded place to really unwind and relax after having spent a very hectic and stressful last 18 months of work, and this beautiful location was absolutely perfect. You dont need to take anything with you because everything is supplied and you can take advantage of the towns fresh bakery and local produce. The owners were there to greet us with a warm and welcoming smile and to check that we had everything that we needed . Waking up to the birds twittering in the morning was so beautiful, something we dont normally get to hear back home, we were also very suprised to see a cheeky squirrel jumping from tree to tree to get to the cherry tree that was in season. So I would definately not have any problems in telling singles and families to spend some relaxing time here...

"Just sit back and relax !"
As soon as you walk through the door the feeling of relaxation suddenly hits you and the real meaning of the french countryside starts to sink in. Everything is supplied at your fingertips by a very friendly and hospitable host, i only wished i could of stayed longer.
