The property is ideally located for holidays, both walking and exploring the beautiful scenery of the National Parks of Abruzzo; for visiting the Adriatic coast and Pescara; for skiing in nearby Roccaraso in the winter and generally for exploring all that beautiful Abruzzo has to offer. Abruzzo is Italy at its unspoilt, natural best.
The accommodation is spacious, newly renovated and furnished to a high standard. The property is situated down a short private lane reached from the road going through the centre of Bugnara and there is ample space for easy, safe parking on the road.

The Marche / Abruzzo / Abruzzo region
Abruzzo's eastern border is marked by vast sandy beaches stretching along the Adriatic, both north and south of Pescara. Go west from the coast and you will soon enter the hills, which rise quickly to become the beautiful Abruzzo mountains. This area is one of the largest and most important National Parks in Europe and it is dotted with some of the least visited hill towns in Italy.
Sulmona / Bugnara area
Bugnara is a small medieval village in in the valley of Sulmona, Abruzzo. It has a small grocery shop, a pharmacy, a post office and two small bars/cafes. There is also a doctors' surgery.
Sulmona has an abundance of quaint little shops where you can purchase fine leather, jewellery and regional crafts. It has an array of cafes, restaurants and trattorias that specialize in the rich regional cucina d'Abruzzo. Sulmona is also known for its confetti, the sugar coated almonds known worldwide.
The area has a vast selection of outdoor activities including walking, touring and skiing.
How to get there
You can fly either to the local airport at Pescara, or to one of the airports in Rome - the larger one is Fiumicino and is about 2.5 hours away, the other is called Ciampino and is about 2 hours away. RyanAir fly to both Rome and Pescara from Dublin, East Midlands, Durham, Luton, Stanstead, Glasgow, and Liverpool RyanAir fly to Pescara from Stanstead. (You can fly to Stanstead from Blackpool or Newquay) Jet2 and EasyJet fly to Rome: Jet2 fly to Rome from Manchester and Leeds Bradford EasyJet fly to Rome from Aberdeen, Belfast, Bournmouth, Bristol, Cork, Doncaster, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Liverpool, Newcastle, Nottingham and Shannon
The train service runs from both Rome and Pescara to Sulmona and is an economical and a beautiful way to view the area. Bugnara is only 7km from Sulmona.
