Our accommodation is a spacious first floor, self catering, apartment (130 sq metres), in a small communal block of 10, finished to a very high specification.
The apartment is located in the heart of the town, just 50 yards from the main street and its shops, restaurants and bars in a restricted traffic area. It is only 100 metres from the ski bus stop or a short 10-15 minute walk to the nearest ski lift (where, at a small charge, you can leave your ski's and boots overnight). The lift pass office and ski/boot hire shop all nearby. Equally fabulous for the summer months, Bardonecchia offers a huge variety of outdoor summer pursuits

Bardonecchia has numerous shops, boutiques and weekly markets on the traditional, pedestrianised shopping area ‘Via Medail’; one of the longest shopping streets in the alps.
It has a good range of bars, cafes and pizzerias scattered throughout the town, including a host of mountain restaurants, full of life and atmosphere. The mainline railway station is a 5-10 minute walk from the apartment and has frequent trains to surrounding villages and Turin allowing easy transfers and daytrips. There is a helpful, english speaking Tourist Office, able to provide information and book a huge range of activities.
Bardonecchia area
Skiing Bardonecchia’s well-groomed pistes played host to some key events in the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics, including the snowboarding giant slalom, women's downhill and half pipe. The Ski bus, free with a weekly lift pass, connects the three main ski areas. You can ski between areas. The resort is Snow sure - artificial snow-making machines ensure snow conditions throughout the season. There are approximately 90 snow cannons. 23 lifts, 9 chair and 14 drag for 110miles of marked piste. An extension to the lift pass to cover the famous Milky Way area is also available for those who want to explore these popular adjacent resorts. (A short journey by road/train gives access to the 400miles of piste covering Sauze d’oulx, Sestriere, Claviere and Montgenevre). In winter, Bardonecchia offers a range activities for the non-skier and après ski, including an indoor swimming pool (30% discount with lift pass), cinema, festival hall, weekly markets, shops and plenty of bars and restaurants.
Summer The resort is equally busy in the summer months with numerous activities available locally, including golf, tennis, walking, rafting, water skiing etc. Lifts operate across July and August giving access to the wonderful mountain scenery.
How to get there
-Bardonecchia is just one hour from Turin airport by road and one of the few resorts with a mainline train station (less than 5 hours by TGV, direct from Paris). -Cheap flights to Turin available with British Airways, Easyjet and Ryanair -Transfers from Turin either by hire car or local train service from the centre of town -It's possible to drive to Bardonecchia from Calais in just 10 hours

Includes oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. -Relaxing, spacious sitting/dining room with comfortable seating and separate dining area for 8. Includes TV and DVD player. -Two full size bathrooms. One with a relaxing bath and shower, the other with a walk-in shower cubicle. -Price includes fresh bed linen and towels. These will be replaced weekly. -Three Large Balconies from which to admire the stunning views while sunning yourself and enjoying a drink. -Full Central Heating with radiators in all rooms. -High Chair and Travel Cot available.
