Welcome to Franks' Cottage, Carracastle! Bienvenue dans cette belle maison! Bienvenido a la casa de campo para sus proximas vacaciones!

We are just on the border of Co.Mayo and Co.Roscommon.

This lovely country cottage is located in a beautiful rural area surrounded by farms and animals. I have two donkeys- Chip and Sugar that will be in the field across from the cottage, welcoming you. They are very friendly and love carrots :)

You will have a very large, open garden to yourself with a private area in the back with an outside table and chairs. The two bedrooms can sleep up to 5 people and cot/toddler bed and highchair are available upon request.

It is ideally located just 10 miles from Knock Airport, in County Mayo. It is situated between Charlestown, Co Mayo and Ballaghaderreen, Co Roscommon.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Riona (the owner) a message.

If Riona (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
