About the home

A beautiful 3 bedroom apartment with fantastic sea views. Situated in the heart of Altea´s seafront with all amenities in easy walking distance. The apartment has a very bright and airy feel and has beautiful wood flooring throughout.

Upon entering Casa Joanie there is a long hallway from where the three bedrooms can be accessed. The wood flooring gives the apartment a clean cosy feel throughout. There are 2 bathrooms, one of which is en-suite. The kitchen is fully equipped and a window gives fantastic sea views. The spacious living/dining room has full length picture windows which open completely on to the terrace. Internet access available.

This apartment is frontline and gives stunning uninterrupted sea views. Directly overlooking a sandy area of a what is mainly a pebble beach. Casa Joanie is on the seafront of Altea where there are many cafe/bars and restaurants. The old town is within easy reach of this gorgeous apartment with all of its historical and picturesque streets lined with restaurants and artisan shops. The town of Altea now has a fantastic pedal bike rental system where you can cycle all day for as little as €3euros!

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

The town of Altea is ideally placed for easy access from both Alicante and Valencia airport, both benefiting from many budget airlines. The area will suit holidaymakers of all tastes and requirements. The ´old town´ of Altea with it's ancient church and distinctive 'cupula' domed shape roof is a landmark from miles around. Wandering through the old whitewashed streets you can enjoy browsing through the many arts and craft shops, then stop for a coffee or cold drink in the church square, which by evening comes alive with bars and restaurants. To the beach and seafront there are also many eating places to enjoy. Nearby there are the numerous theme parks of Benidorm for kids of all ages, with water parks, nature parks and Terra Mitica with many fantastic rides, There are now three 18 hole golf courses open on the outskirts of Benidorm. Also the infamous nightlife of Benidorm is only 15kms away.

The Altea area

Our apartment is perfectly situated on a beautiful stretch of the Altea seafront, overlooking the blue Mediterranean. There are views to the impressive rock of ´Penon de Ifach´ in Calpe and to the south there are expansive views over the bay of Altea and Albir. To this direction one can see the magnificent old town of Altea, perched on the top is the blue dome (locally known as a ¨Cupula¨) of the Virgen de Consuelo Church. When visiting the area this is a must see, from the plaza in front of the Church, which is lined with restaurants and cafe/bars, there are typically Spanish streets winding down to the main town of Altea. In these streets, some of the best restaurants and boutique´s are situated, best left to the reader to discover! For days out, there is much to see, for the kids, there are theme parks galore just 10 min away. Terra Mitica, Mundomar, Aqualandia and more! There is also the historic fortress town of Guadalest, the waterfalls at Fonts d´Algar. We also have a number of beautiful sandy beaches nearby including Calpe, Benidorm, La Cala de Finestrat and Villajoyosa.

The town of Altea is ideally situated for easy access form both Alicante and Valencia airports, both benefiting from regular daily flights from all major European airports with many of these being the more popular budget airlines. Altea is reached from both airports via the AP7 motorway, 45 minutes from Alicante and 65 minutes from Valencia. Exit 64 ´Altea/Calpe' off the AP7. One of our representatives will meet you at the toll exit and guide you to the apartment. Should guests prefer not to drive during there holiday, we are able to offer airport transfers at extremely competitive rates.

“Ideal location for tranquil peaceful holiday” We had a lovely time right from being initially greeted and welcomed by Anita and Stuart personally. We had communicated prior to arrival and Anita answered all my questions and made sure that everything we had asked about was available to us. Even down to loungers and beach towels enabling us to travel very light . It was like home from home , the kitchen was very well equipped and we had everything we could have wanted. This was our first time at self catering rental and what a way to try it. The location is absolutely priceless, directly overlooking the beach, surrounded by lovely restaurants along the promenade and the fabulous historic old town a short, albeit, steep, walk away but well worth the effort. We were there for the moors and Christians festival so lots to see, but don't forget the earplugs if you go to the town square for the battle re enactments! We had a great stay, and would recommend casa Joanne to anyone.
