“Serene location,old world charm and generous hospitality.” My husband and I have just spent a night at The Burrow at Wombat Bend. We had a wonderful unexpected stay. We were warmly welcomed by Sue who took us in to the beautiful little cottage and showed us around. What a charming place it was with every amenity to make it feel like a home away from home. From bookshelves filled with interesting books to a modern TV everything and everyone was well catered for. There were pots and pans to cook up your breakfast from the gourmet provisions that Sue had left in the fridge for us. Plus a well stocked pantry. Sue very generously had left us an array of delicious treats. These included cheese and crackers, fresh fruit, chocolates and a bottle of port! The bed was very comfortable and even had an electric blanket. The bathroom facilities were good with lots of linen and all the toiletries you needed. There was plenty of hot water from the shower which was very welcome after a stroll around the stunning property which is a credit to Sue and Bill. The billabong was full of ducks and there was an amazing array of birdlife on the land. Sue and Bills dog are gorgeous but very well behaved as we never heard them at all. In the cottage there were plenty of rugs to wrap around you {in the winter months} if you wanted to sit on the verandah and watch the sun set over the billabong. We loved the peace and tranquillity of the area and generous hospitality from the hosts. We were so happy to have found this little piece of paradise in Dixons creek. Sue recommended the Dixons Creek Café for dinner. After eating there we would also highly recommend it. It is only about a five minute drive away.The food was delicious, the service quick and the staff very helpful and friendly.

“Great Location” Annie's location is fantastic, very central to all you may need, whether over to the shops for an ice cream, coffee or a bite to eat. The family enjoyed being so close to the river going on walks, exploring, swimming and tubing, then a short stroll back to annie's to relax. We are looking forward to returning in winter for some snow play on Mt Donna Buang.
