  • Visit Lost River Gorge and Boulder Caves: Stroll the wooden walkways that wind through the canyons and waterfalls of this spectacular cave system. Children will enjoy panning for gemstones and fossils.
  • Ride the Hobo Railroad: Take a fifteen mile round-trip train ride along the Pemigewasset River in the vintage cars of this old restored railroad.
  • Visit Clarks Trading Post: This is a fun attraction for children of any age. While you are here, see the performing bear and spectacular acrobatic troupe, and check out the variety of speciality shops and museums.
  • Explore Polar Caves Park: See the animal exhibits, the maple sugar museum, and the glacial Boulder maze at this park. Come here for quiet nature trails, picnic areas, and a day of family adventure.
  • Drive the Mount Washington Auto Road: This road winds through four climate zones to the highest point in the northeast. Take a guided tour or travel alone and watch the landscape change around you as you ascend.
