“Fantastic place to stay” We had a wonderful time with friends at the house. We were able to cook in the kitchen because it was so well stocked. It was also close enough to town to walk if we wanted to do that. The place was clean and had all of the amenities that a person could need. A beach was right there. We walked the beach and held hands. It was beautiful, romantic, wonderful, and relaxing. I can't say enough good things about this beach bungalow.

“Great place, great comfort and care” Casa angular is one of the few contemporary properties on the island. Its two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms are placed on two sides of the living room and patio, making it perfect for sharing with another couple, or keeping kids away. It is a perfectly safe property, with alarm system, gates, etc. It is also convenient distance to the two towns on the island, on other attractions and amenities. Most importantly, both the owner and the local property manager are greatly helpful folks. We highly recommend this property for your Vieques vacation.

“Comfortable, homey, perfect location” Vieques, particularly the town of Esperanza, is a great mix of relaxation and adventure. This house matches that type of vacation. While it's a stone's throw from bars and restaurants, it was nice and quiet. I would recommend this place to anybody. We did a lot of exploring on the island, and we were all in agreement that the house's location couldn't be any better. There was never a question of what we were going to do next because we were within walking distance of the town and the beach. Most of the companies offering excursions meet nearby. There was more than enough room for four people and our ample luggage. As another review stated, the house is bigger than the pictures let on. There is a seating area on the front porch and the back patio, which was our favorite part. The bathrooms were especially nice, as they are very spacious and beautifully decorated. We found amenities like bandages, Q-tips, etc. easily. There were more than enough towels, and the washer and dryer meant that we never had to deal with sandy or stinky beach bags. We had no issues with the showers or air conditioning. Basically, all of the creature comforts were tip-top. We used the kayak and boogie boards, too! The Plunkets were helpful and responsive both before and during the trip. One could not ask for a friendlier person to deal with than Karen. Our group included the opposite ends of the traveling spectrum: a business traveler used to high-end accommodations and an NGO employee used to sleeping with mosquito nets in the jungle. Everybody loved it.

“Great location and super nice person to commumicate with!” My husband and I had planned on staying here in april but due to a change of plans, we'll not make it this year. ** The comment section will not let me leave a review without putting a date - so I had to put in a false date I did want to leave a review as far as our experience with communications. One could not ask for a friendlier, or more helpful, person to deal with. I don't know if there is more than one owner, but we communicated with a lovely gal named Kim. Every email I sent was answered in a very, very timely manner. Not only extremely prompt, but also friendly. It was obvious she wanted us to have memorable stay at the casa. I like to do a lot of research on-line, regarding location (very important to us as we like to walk to town) and always like to read past reviews. I didn't find much about this property and Kim said that it had been renamed, redecorated and now sports a whole new look. As I mentioned earlier, this property has a really great location! From what I can tell, it's a great little casa, and we'll miss not calling it "home" in april. I would highly recommend Casa Estrella, sight unseen.

“Loved the Lotus Pad” Have stayed twice in the last two years, and love The Lotus Pad. Such a sweet home with a big yard, great location, nice block, great hammocks, we relaxed totally. Love all the outdoor seating. Comfortable bed. We really feel like we have our own Shangri La when we stay at the Lotus Pad--even read some meditation and yoga books. It was like a retreat. Can't beat this value. Love close everything is. Nancy is very sweet and helpful.

“perfect get away” The house is ideally located on a small hill with an amazing view on the island (sunsets are incredible). The house is modern and comfy and furnished with a lot of taste. Pool is filled with sea water so no chemicals are used. It just takes 10 minutes to drive to one of the wonderful beaches that are on the island. Perfect gateway for a couple with 2 kids or 2 couples.

“Our favority vacation spot =)” This trip marked our second visit to Vieques, as well as our second stay at Pura Vida. The upgrades include a new SUV for traversing the bumpy roads to secluded beaches and a beautiful new kitchen! While the island has certainly been discovered in the last few years, there are still plenty of beaches to explore and most you will still find yourself alone for a good portion of the day. The Bio Bay was even more brilliant than we remembered. You are no longer allowed to swim in it but abe's Snorkeling hosted a wonderful kayak tour that was just as enjoyable (perhaps more so since there were no jellyfish stings!). I would recommend Vieques and Pura Vida to anyone (in fact, I always do!), and we'll be back next year for another relaxing week in the sun!

“Wonderful Spot” We really enjoyed this rental house- it had everything we need in a home base. And lots of little features that helped make the experience better too- ice maker in refrigerator and a washer/dryer. And it was clean! Neighborhood was nice and close to town too.
