“egyptian experience apartment review” "Glenne, thank you again for our stay in the apartment. we had an enjoyable and relaxing honeymoon! The weather in Egypt this time of year (November 2010) was amazing - although it was said they were having a heat wave! we enjoyed our time sat on the large balcony playing some of your board games! The bed was very comfortable and the apartment equipment with some handy extras eg snorkelling gear and towels. We found getting the blue minibuses - 'tut tuts' (to naama or nabq bay) very cheap and easy to flag down on the main road, and also used the resort minibus to take us to Sharks bay beach almost everyday, we loved it there relaxing on the sunbeds and snorkelling with some fantastic fish in the sea. we did the Ras Mohammed day trip also but the sea was very rough so there were several people sea sick - including myself :-( - would not recommend this trip unless you are a strong swimmer and keen snorkeller as that is the trip is for!Overall the apartment was comfortable, (pool was a little chilly!) and the people in the office helpful. Only downside is that we did not realise that we would have to get transport to go anywhere else, for food etc (ie too far to walk) so this did add up a bit.
Tip: do not go to the' sun rise aqua park' (next door to the resort) for food - it was expensive and not nice food.
“Great location on the beach!” Lovely family size villa although only 2 of us rattling around in it! Great location and well equipped with all basics and a few nice additional touches with some essentials provided. Rooms large, airy with high ceilings, master bedroom has balcony and a sun deck, with sun beds also in the garden, or straight out onto the beach. Axel (owner) couldn't have been more helpful right from emails prior to booking, arranging collection from airport and offering to act as tour guide. First restaurants are 100m from the villa and lots of choice if you stroll all the way round to the cove, Italian was our favourite for dinner, also loved the Bedouin tent in front of the Coral beach Hotel. On windy days walked round to the cove where it is more sheltered. Ideal for wind surfing, kite surfing, snorkelling and diving or just chilling!
“Fantastic location. Brilliant for families learning scuba or snorkelling” Our 3rd visit in a row to sharks bay oasis which shows how much we like the place. We booked our flights through Monarch in the uk 6 months before leaving and saved over £600 so do book flights early. When you go, do visit soho square which is a 5 minute taxi ride away but get a free VIP membership card from the management office which is near the food court by the central fountain as it gives you 25% off food and drink. Also for diving do check out butterfly divers which are next to the new lift in sharks bay as the team are great there. Osama and the dive crew are brilliant with kids (and adults). We did a wreck dive, night dive and two dive courses and my son is only 11 and I have now passed my rescue diving course and my son is a junior advanced diver. Go for it!
“Highly Recommeded - Great Holiday” This apartment is lovely and on a lovely complex with amazing views from the roof terrace. It was really quiet so no hassle for sun beds or space. We had the rear pool to ourselves for 2 weeks but families with younger children seemed to prefer the front. Pool bar sells decent snacks at good value and you can get almost anything else you need delivered (just look in the welcome pack for details). 5 minute bus ride from Nabq bay with plenty of restaurants (El Mesrien and Union Jacks were our favourite for food and value) and good evenings entertainment (especially at El Hyatt, great shops too with no hassle). Only went to Naama Bay to catch a boat but is only 15 mins away from there. All taxi prices pretty much the same no matter who you use but make sure you agree the price you want to pay first. On site taxi will take you anywhere and the staff are great. If you want a day on the beach go to Sharks Bay (£3 each from the complex including a sun bed). The snorkling here is fantastic and the food is excellent value for money. If you fancy going to Soho square make sure you take plenty of money. Beautiful place with nice shops but food very expensive and not much choice. All in all this was a fantastic holiday in a great apartment with everything we needed just a short bus or taxi ride away (no stress) and we have already made enquiries to go back again next year. The owners are really easy to deal with.
“The fish are amazing !” Great apartment with lovely sea views. Maid cleaned everyday and made some lovely animal creations with our towels. The highlite for us was wandering down to the pontoons and watching the most amazing coloured fish in just 3 feet of water. The staff were friendly and most spoke English. Make sure you do the submarine trip, we booked ours from the beach. Gamal arranged the taxi to meet us at the airport a lot less hassle for us , ty Gamal for a great stay , look forward to doing it again soon . Very warm in December we have fab tans !
